Zeidler is such a powerhouse. It's mindblowing to see him destroy the field with so much space left, but I bet van Dorp will give him a hard time in Paris.
Zeidler's approach is completely different from everyone else, and it clearly works. Coaches always preach long, full extended strokes, but he never did more than 3/4 slide and most was half slide. He's such a tall guy too, it's very interesting. I'm a shorter rower, I'm curious to try this approach. Edit: At any rate, it really reinforces the idea of tuning things to one's specific body dimensions and individual biomechanics.

It works because he's tall enough that 3/4 slide is longer than full slide for most rowers
Rowing is an underrated workout! It will wear you down.
