Eki, since you have the budget to do it, I demand you to go after team builders since you can exchange them to new ones once 94s come up. Don't spend the coins to questionable market purchases this year :D Good luck, and take the NA kids down this year (again)!
You already have Sillinger and you can play the others also until you get all of the required players (and of course sell the Ehlers and other marketables). It cost ~200 000 for me to make one team builder this year. You just need patience not to buy all the required players at once.
I have had amazing luck with my packs. XF Barzal from the starter pack. XF Larkin from that 50 player trade pack. XF McDavid from the challanges reward pack. XF Makar from milestone reward base pack. I have pulled base McDavid Draisaitl and Makar from other packs and i also did that icon pack had 82 83 and 86 Brodeur so had to pick him but i have not even used him.
worst possible thing happen to me with my 2 xfactors, first one i picked Nathan mackinnon, very good, and my second pack i opened i got, 1 duplication, and JHuberdeau, and jMarkstrom. markstrom is the best goalie in the game currently, and i dont watch youtube videos on shit like that but my buddy does, so i asked him and tells me whats usually good and bad, he told me dont pick markstrom becasue " goalie x factors are usless" his words not mine, so i ended up leaving the best goalie in the game in that pack. in a game where ur picks really could affect u down the line, he be giving me shit advice
Markström is possibly the best G in the game I agree. I don't think you got terrible advice through. X-Factors are so expensive to upgrade later on it's a bit hit or miss to spend it on a goalie. Let's say you buy a 94 markström in February he would probably be worth around 400k. When you upgrade his X-Factor there it's probably closer to a 1mil if the prices work similarly to last year. Obviously it's worth something to always have the highest overall Markström in the net so I would probably take 1 if I wouldn't get the best skaters from the X-Factor choice like in your example.
I have really liked Tkachuk and Nolan. Tyutin has been solid maybe the same level with base Hedman who has been really good for me and i am building Jokinen now.
Hedman has been the best defender in the the last couple games for me. No one has that same combo of size, speed, stats. Makar's height is not ideal for D.

Cross creases should score it should just be easier to defend them especially when you know it’s coming. Plus if ur not going for cross creases people are going for and scoring the same wrap cheese and backhand forehand backhand on partial breaks bitch about something right ya fee me
