Prof. Costalat shows why aspiration works and explains why the preservation of Lumen Integrity is essential in the setup with aspiration. For an optimised handling the force transmission is crucial and needs a certain stiffness but must be atraumatic at the tip to allow his favourite manoeuvre. He praises the reduced friction which allows a better trackability by comparing the catheter generations, and why the newest generation made him switch his standard MT procedure.
