It was during the soundcheck where there are only very limited tix/people, that's why he can bring camera with him. Other members did the same on the other SC with their phones and uploaded it on their SNS

I really wish people would stop comparing JK & V! They’ve lived together for so long they’re like brothers! Also, their personality is totally different! JK is a genius. It just warms my heart. I'm always fascinated by his personality, talent and his taste in art. Armys and BTS are proud of you golden baby.

@@WhatchaGot2Say ... It would have been cooler if he actually used a real VHS camcorder. I myself still have a full-size VHS camcorder as well as VHS-C camcorder (smaller cartridge thus more compact camcorder for VHS-C). Just for authenticity. I know I know, a smartphone would be lighter & convenient. I'll tell ya though, on a real camcorder, you would get less horizontal noise streaks, as you see here, if the helical scan drum & the tape heads were cleaned before a recording. :)
@@robwebnoid5763 I remember the first video cameras, they were huge...and heavy. You had to hold them on your shoulder like the cameras news people still use. I used one for years starting with my high school graduation in 1984.. Even used one when I was in the Peace Corps in 1992 and long after the birth of my son in 1996. In all honesty though, VCRs had much better quality videos than this, this look is pretty contrived. But I do appreciate the aesthetics you get with this app. 👍🏼
@@kmkniu1869 ... Cool, yeah those were the days. My hs grad was '86. I've never seen this app but I would think it has different settings on it, such as the aforementioned line streaks, which I would think could be dialed down a bit, if there's a setting. As I said, it just takes a bit of cleaning the drumhead on a real camcorder. I also still have a few tabletop VCRs, maybe about 5. If JK could be coaxed, he might even get into that type of older tech, since he's into this type of thing. That will definitely increase his experience & mastery as a growing videophile. I mean, if it isn't already apparent, the F in GCF means Film, for gosh sake. Start getting into tape & celluloid too, not just digital. He probably has lots of cameras already, digital & maybe film-base. It's not like he doesn't have any money. One day when he's 55, he'll show off his collection of camcorder, VCR's, Laserdisc players & reel2reel projectors. :)
I love how JK decided to let us see what's going on even after the concert is done. The energy starts to run out, maybe tired from flying all over, possible tired from the concerts, everything gets more quiet and they are simply 7 normals guys on a crazy schedule.
I truly appreciate that human side of Bangtan that it's never lost to them and I thank them for this inside look in their lives, and I'm even more thankful since it's something JK did out of his free will... 💜

Before jk upload this vid, he asked to ARMY at the Vlive “how’s your day going? What are you guys usually do for a whole day? As you r curious abt my day I always wonder how you spend yr day.” Then two days later he upload this vid. I guess he wanted to show us how he spend his day on/off stage as a person. I think because of that reason, he used this old style video recording filter so it seems like documentary/home made film(I felt this touch made it so personal🥰). He must knew how we all wonder abt his day as much as he wonder abt ours. He is just so precious💜.

@@e0n555 The challenge came first, started by the Korean Englishman channel a few years ago, where they gave their British friends fire noodles, causing hilarious reactions, which started a trend of RUclipsrs all over trying it, and then everyone else. But yeah, he's eating Samyang's buldak fire noodles. Tasty as hell, but it definitely has extreme spice. I prefer the 2x spicy version, and eat it every now and then as a fiery lunch. Good for making the eyes and nose run, which makes it great for those times when I feel like my head is stuffy. ^^

I like how he filmed the concert from a fan in first row looking up. For me who may never go to an actual concert or even if it became possible, I'd be in the nosebleed sections, it's like I'm right there in the crowd. I really appreciate his love for ARMY in the way allowed us to tag along with him all day.

This is an epic G.C.F.! I really love it bc I was actually at the concert when he filmed this. It brings such great memories. I can’t wait for us to get back to concerts, especially BTS concerts. I really want you guys to experience it 💜

😁 That back zoom was JK's first victim. He'd make a dope short horror film. The others don't like horror but Jungkook does. Jimin was battling hot noodles and it watered his eyes and plumped his lips. But he keeps eating it, who wouldn't spicy is the way to go.

I am glad jk in not in horror movies because favorite weapon in the murder mystery is often a hammer in his movie industry. And their spooky movies won Oscar
I do love the close up when they did the Fire dance performance. I was hoping to see more of their back performance when they were practicing MIC Drop. Yes Blaze, all camera horrors start like this. This reminded me of the movie Cloverfield lol

I was at this concert!!! It was insane!! As they always do, they tore it up.. It was lit beyond lit!! Their concert performances are hands down the best I've ever seen. That's the truth. They own the stage and they pull out all the stops to amaze their fans. I screamed so hard throughout the concert that my voice was raspy the following day.. I was also amongst that crowd that lined up to get a spot of them leaving. I watched their cars go by but couldn't see inside the windows. These are memories I'll never forget. Then I got to see them again the following year at Met Life Stadium in NJ.. That's when Jungkook was doing his float over the fans singing Euphoria and not missing a note and put on a magnificent performance.. Every time he floated up in the air and especially when he floated past where I was sitting, I was screaming "JUNGKOOK!!!!" at the top of my lungs the whole time. I still have my tickets for my 3rd concert, which I held onto because it still shows as TBD at Met Life again. I hope they do the tour that was suppose to be in 2020. I still have my parking passes too. I called to see if the parking would still be honored due to the cancellation of the tour due to Covid and they said yes, the passes would be honored to whatever postponement date there is for the concert 💜
this is my first time to watch gcf newark too and im glad i did. it feels so satisfying watching them from jk's pov. i felt the thriller vibe too. and your reactions are lit! love it always. i cant wait for your reaction on gcf mma 2018. haven't watched that too.!

I will never forget the day this came out because, watching it, I realized this was filmed on the exact day I went to see them in concert in Newark. I was so shocked and happy because I felt even more connected to them at this moment. That concert was so beyond even my wildest dreams. I was supposed to see them again last April in DC, but it got canceled due to Covid. I’m still so sad about that, and I really hope I get to see all seven of them in concert again some day.
I'm proud and happy to say I was there! This was my first BTS Concert. From Curaçao 🇨🇼 to New Jersey!

JK filmed this on his phone with the VHS app. He had the phone with him on stage for the sound check which had only some Armys in attendance then during the concert he gave his phone to a staff member to film...he filmed his whole day all in one day and then edited it to upload for us to see what his day is like. The contrast from screaming fans to alone in the room is so sharp though you can feel it though the recording. I think the VHS filter helps a lot to feel like this is a home movie and to give it a sense on intimacy you would not get in a higher quality picture.

I truly believe JK did this thinking, even with the filter chosen, that at some point, when they grow older, he could watch it as if he was watching at himself. I picture that in my mind and the editing used for it as if you are realkybthere to experience the whole process. Not only thoughtful with the fans, but also as gift for himself, a treasure to contemplate when years passed... like it very much...

What I know about this one is that he wanted to do a G.C.F in Newark but he forgot his equipment so he ended up doing it in his phone and giving it this vibe of vhs. The boy did what he could with what he had at that time and wow, he did pretty well 👏🏻

I was actually there at the parking garage around 20:53! Lol it was insane when the concert finished and we were trying to find the exit through all of the people. Security forced us to go out through the parking garage even though we were just trying to walk to our hotel. A couple of people were just hanging out by the railing talking so we started talking to them and all of the sudden Tae and JK come out and we're just like "????!!!!????!?!?!!!!!!"
That was a great concert. I Had so much fun. I remember the next week I saw them again in Citified.
Newark is "A day in a life of Gguk"
He's showing the world what a typical day of a BTS member looks like.
He gave every ARMY a glimpse of their day to day life.
One of the greatest gift that GCF was able to produce, because it's so personal.
In case you did not notice it has no BGM, except the ones they actually sing.
Because it was meant to share their conversations, laughs, snickers, jokes, sighs, yawns, footsteps and sometimes grunts.
The only thing we couldn't do was smell & touch them. JK gave us a whole day-date with BTS.
Opening scene was actually when JK went to sleep at 3AM then cut to elevator with Tae, as they woke up. Tae held the elevator & waited for JK to finish primping up as they agreed to get down breakfast together, as the maknae line usually are the latest to wake up (hence the 3 sharing a different table from their hyung, who is almost halfway through their meals.
Jimin was not acting he ate spicy ramen, which he loves so much, but was regretting because he did it on an empty stomach.
Stage shots are soundcheck with concert goers who won the raffle to join BTS on their sound/stage check (they do this for their concerts, they raffle bought tickets and let the winners in on the venue earlier than the rest to join them in a more intimate mini concert/fan meet - I know you want this, yeah just like all the millions of us also do).
Concert bit, he got from their official Big Hit videographer team (the ones filming for their Docu movies with specific instructions to keep it raw).
JK's ability to see the scene from his unique point of view as reference for his camera placements is really insane, just goes to show how his artist's eyes are in there before others can even think about it. It is the artist in him that shines in his direction & cinematography. And I can only see him improving in this area as he devotes more time for it.

What you saw earlier was their sound check then the concert!!!
My son and I went to both Prudential shows. We saw several camera guys around the stage so JK probably "stole" some of their footage. We ᏦΝᎬᏔ there was going to be a GCF in Newark.
We were surprised to see, toward the end, when you see the people lined up in the parking deck it was my son and friends in front of my car. We were thrilled to see it, even in passing.
This filter reminded me of my teen yrs in the 80's! Man, if they had been around back then....
