I personally believed there is a way to make the gun still slightly more historically accurate and still make it fun without having to shove semi-autos and automatic guns to make everything another ww2 game. It isn't impossible. A game called Mount and Musket was able to prove this by making a game geared around the Napoleonic wars and everyone using muskets. The game developers just wanted to stick to a format they felt was safe for them and not going too advance in critically thinking how to structure things. The way I suspected they would have made this game was to make everyone start off as bolt actions with some limited other gun options. They would follow a score system to the Battlefront 2 game. You earned the points to use the guns. The other idea I suspect was for them to leave the special prototypes as random drop offs for players to find in the match. To me this fits to the reality. Not all of the guns were given to every runt. Some were given only to the few deemed skilled enough to use it to the optimum usage. The problem now I realized with these ideas is they are not newb (a person that is not good or refuses to adapt to whatever is given or faces as a opponent.) friendly. They know it would just lead to unskilled players and fickle people that do not like to adapt will send them hate mail and flood their mail with complaints.
Some of them aren’t even DLC though. He includes the weapons that were added to the Assault and Support classes from the Pilot and Tanker classes. So you’ll see some base game weapons here too.
To be fair, the game has maps set in the Russian revolution, so it technically takes place in the timeframe of 1914-1920. Also, M1919 is a predecessor of the Thompson model 1921, not based on it.
Also, the M1919 along with the M1911A1 (1927) BAR A2 (1920s) and Mosin Nagant M38 (1938) weren't part of the game or the DLC, they were given as a bonus if you preordered BFV.
Signal Flare is OP. You just need to be well hidden, Fire it into a flag position with a large group of enemies, if none of them notice it, they’re all dead.
Break action revolvers have existed for a long time. People prefer normal revolvers for their durability. The MP 412 wasn't put into mainstream production for the Russian military because it was a break action.
It is an easter egg. it can not be a DLC weapon for the simple fact that it is already included (although it is true that it is unlocked in some DLC maps)

The inclusion of the M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle is anachronistic, that particular model did not see production until 1938. Granted, most of the weapons in Battlefield 1 never actually saw in-field use and haven't gotten outside the prototype stage, especially in a time when gun designers were making all kinds of crazy and unique weapon systems in the early years of the 20th century.

Aby Nighteater you missed out a lot of other prototype weapons (cei rigotti, Huot, hellreigel for the cunts out there) but they’re made in that time period so I learn to accept them, the guns that are made after world war 1 I can understand but the guns with a silencer added on aren’t really that bad of a thing to be pissed about, it’s like saying the mp18 optical shouldn’t be in cuz of the sights but that’s just a customisation added for variety like the silencers

The Nagant Revolver in the game is very overpowered compared to real life. In reality it's about as powerful as a .32ACP handgun. The Webley Mk VI in .455 Webley is much more powerful than the Nagant revolver.

It's more likely that the next strip drops into position just before the final cartridge of the last strip and is then pulled in by the loading mechanism after firing. This means you wouldn't need to load it after each strip.

I owned a Chinese version of the m38 aka mosin nagant carbine the Chinese version is called a type 53. I loved that gun cuz I love mosin nagants but were a tad bit to long of a rifle for me and loved having a carbine version with an attached bayonet on the side of the rifle instead of it being on the bottom like a sks

It's just a water cooling jacket. The degtyarev was a prototype meant to fulfill the same role as an LMG. Hence the bipod.
