Whoa Kyle Landry!! Heck yeah would love to see a video of your take on Winter Fantasy. Also, please give Lionel and Rron a shoutout while you’re at it. The musical basics channels are full of gold, but sadly not too many people know about them.
Please do
I was so excited to see this because I've been obsessed with this piece lately and I was disappointed to find that you have yet to record this:( I NEED a Kyle Landry rendition of Winter Fantasy in my life pretty please??👉👈
Excuse you, where is it? Give it to me kyleee!
same
Someone that composes so well, painting the atmosphere of a freezing cold winter in Canada and putting it inside the piece perfectly with that emotion can definitely be no one but Lingling.

This makes me miss someone. But I don’t even know who that someone is

I know who it is, but they hate me now, so this is a one-sided remembrance.
@@extrabreezyday5543 It’s okay. Keep your head up high and have faith in yourself that things will get better

brrrrr is cold out here
Your piece was so stunning too

This the best. Its beautiful i am speechless even though it is not my first time listening to this.❄
this actually gets better and better the more I listen to it
yes because u start to notice the little details more
When your in a hot place and it barely snows you go to this song to have a sense of an actual winter ;-;
I lived in michigan for about 6 years then moved down to florida for 6 years, I'm back up in Michigan and I'm listening to this while waiting for winter. Because to me, it reminds me of all you can do during winter.
I would kill to ear this piece orchestrated
Yeah
There used to be just one thing that was guaranteed to get me to cry. Vladimir Horowitz' Moscow performance of Traumerei. Now there are two. Rron Delos Santos is a rare genius.
This piece is reminiscent of Rachmaninoff, and I love it. He truly touched into the beauty of death and annihilation which is something that I tend to find overdone, but I believed you captured it perfectly. As someone who also plays music and is also reading and breaking down music and symphonies into their components, I can understand how easy it is to look at music only analytically and not just look at it for the beauty that it is. I wish you only the best and I'm waiting with abated breath to hear your next composition.
If you’re confused, this piece is not by MusicalBasics, but by Rron Delos Santos.
To.be frank musicbasics composition is really average.lol. As someone who composes music as well, i think i could judge. Del santos is a genius composer
@@johannsebastienbach Yes! I would definitely agree that Rron is a genius.
I be oudn some super Mario in the oddessy and Liszt a tiny bit of chopin
Thats what I was thinking it sounds like his piano concerto 2
We can actually see this piece’s difference from the others. This piece sounds more like a romantic style.
The other ones are amateurish honestly
@@johannsebastienbach some of them are amateurs
It has a lot of jazz elements too
I love romantic pieces it just makes me feel so warm playing and listening to the spieces
Thanks for letting me experience the snowy feeling that I have not experience in 5 years or more!
Can confirm, this is one of the best pieces of all time. And thats not cap to make you feel good. My teacher is very opinionated and rooted in germanic style, yet when I showed this go him he was astounded by the beauty
Bear in mind this is a man who got a full ride to OSU to play the piano, who likes baroque/classical music. I have no preference and this piece opened my eyes. It has it all, it really does. I absolutely love it, and im a reserved person. Me sharing my thoughts is rare. Keep it up g (to Rron, although you play this piece in a unique but good way. I listen to both recordings semi-equall)
In my opinion, the most poetic original I've heard in your channel, give my regards to Mr. Santos, despite me being in your Discord chat

This piece was just full of emotion and is very, very well written. I just want to know how did THIS one got dislikes as well!!!
FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Edit: I said in Rizal's piece that I can't really relate to your piece because I haven't experienced winter yet, but the truth is, although I don't "relate" because I haven't had the experience of snowing, I "feel" the snowing in the music. As someone once said, "you don't listen to music, you feel the music", and feeling snow for the first time is arguably better than relating with snow. It's just like experiencing a snowy day, I'd imagine! Well done, Rhon!)
(Edit 2: You weren't expecting a big paragraph, aren't you?)
No actually whoever posts first is first so Lionel was first
Your piece was really nice! I liked your one, even though I liked Kintab the most. Not to be rude or anything, but, Winter Fantasy was the most underwhelming.
@@L1vvyy1 I guess I'm still the first comment, hopefully.
Thanks my guy!
@@rrondelossantos1984 your work here is really great. I love the dissonances and it really depicts a snowy day. Maybe even a blizzard and its cool
I listened this piece for the first time when ep. 3 was released (almost a year ago), I have listened it so many times since then and still cannot describe in words the feelings I get from it. 03:36 is my favorite part, it gives me so many goosebumps.
I love it, Rron did an excelent job.
The goosebumps are strong in this one, i regulary come back to hear it again and it almost kills me everytime because its so incredible and intense, god i love it so much...sadly not good enough yet to play it myself, really hard one 😅
This piece made me cry when I listened to it for the first time---
I have listened to this…100 times??? Love it, can’t stop!!! 😊
I didn't know so many diminished chords could be so graceful. Beautiful :)
The piece provides a beautiful and peaceful picture of vast landscapes of winter snowy mountains and fields! In this unstable and corrupted world, this music calms us! Thank you for the gorgeous music!
I have broke down over this piece too many times to count at this point it’s just so beautiful, it’s nostalgic, it makes me miss so many people. A true masterpiece in my eyes
I listen to this over and over again! it’s incredible !
Rarely everything is covered with a thick snow blanket here, but today is the day and i just had to come back here and listen to this while sitting in my garden, so beautiful 😢
i only have 2 years of piano expiernece but i’m going to do my best to learn this piano peice in full because it’s the one of the most emotional pieces i’ve ever heard and i could listen to it over and over again

this winning piece truly deserved to win, it really sounds so magical and it's amazing. i'm gonna keep coming back to this videp whenever i'm feeling down or stressed.
those three are amazing but this one really tops it all. it reminds of an episode of your lie in april. it's superb. definitely a lingling. if i happen to listen only to this without seeing, maybe i will think that this one was one of the classics.
Exactly my thoughts. This sounds like Rachmaninoffs underground cousin.
can everyone agree that 5:00 is the best part of the song since its so captivating i feel like im make a snow angel in the softest of snow on a nice winter day really makes ya get good type of goosebumps
I disagree I feel like that the best part is the main part of the piece at 2:50- 4:03 its a hunger part of the song that is just filled with so much emotion
Ah I keep coming back to this song I love it so much one day I hope to play this at my funeral ♡♡
this piece is absolute gorgeous
The writing in this piece is just perfect. I absolutely love the progressions in this song, especially the end when it transitions into that Disney-feel waltz, it’s such a powerful piece.
I'm currently playing this piece now. Working on it at least, coming from rachs c# minor prelude. I dont know if doing this is a good idea. I'm not an emotional person at all, I hide it all, but this piece destroys me.... I love it, its everything I could ask for in a piece, and its just so good, but it hurts me to play.
Are you able to play the piece? I'm studying it right now too.
@@king_3li4s66 im 3 out of the 4 pages through, going off rrons copy but I bought both because I like certain aspects of both pieces. Especially the arpeggios leading up to the last epic part musicalbasics added

Greetings from Mexico. A brilliant future has been and it's waiting for you. Thank you for share your talent.
I feel some Rachmaninoff’s Romantic in his chord using. So impressive. And also I think this piece is maybe the most classical piece in fans music
this is an incredible piece!!!
this one is definetly getting spotified
this is such a good piece, I absolutely love it! it seems like it came out of an opera, and I love it
I can't believe I'm watching this in 2024, yet it's still an awe-inspiring piece!
I'm so sad the playing my fans pieces series ended. It's because of Rron that I wanted to become a part of it, but now it's too late ;(
I'm now a growing RUclips composer and pianist myself, and am now 15 (13 when I first listened to this).
Thank you~
Amazing, my favorite piano piece, period.
Bravo à celui qui l’as écrite 👏
I dont know what your saying but i am liking ur comment because it has a clap at the end
@@trebleclef9844 👏
omg it's so frickin' beautiful. it really gives me clair de lune (by Debussy) vibes

Exactly!!! I hate how worthless artists like rappers get their share of fame and money but ones like these are left unrecognised :(
Thankfully Lionel is here to help them out
it's official, I'm addicted to this
Cool effects to your playing. I was having Tetris flashbacks.
Just wait for the day this is considered a classical masterpiece!
Beautiful piece, I'm speechless
It's amazing. I think the guy who did this very talanted. Its sound like music from 200 years ago! If you read this you have to know that i listen to this every day. Btw i live in Moscow )Rus love you bro! I have goosebumps when i listen to this. Lionel thanks for playing!
пара слов по русски. Ребята, это бомба, пушка, взрыв... Просто бриллиант среди многих сочинений фанов Лионеля!
You can imagine the snowflakes hitting the ground softly and melting away. Well done.
2:50 it's unreal how that part hits
Also my favorite part, hits so hard every time!
@@cmw1696 i really like that part but my favourite one still 5:00
The earlier ones you shared had some really cluncky harmonies and in my opinion those are errors. Tbis composer had solid training and its a beautiful piece
I agree. Harmonies are well thought out and non-amateur sounding. I’m absolutely in love with the main theme melody. This piece is now on my list of pieces to learn!
What would separate elegant harmonies from clunky harmonies in your opinion? Can you provide examples of what clunky harmonies existed in the other pieces and what harmonies this piece executes well?
@@constracted7331 ill need to revisit. But if you compose music its a spot on thing. You could tell its not right or theres a better solution. In this piece there are moments of disonence towards the end but its clrarly deliberate. While in other pieces it felt its lack of harmonic skills. Remmeber a composer only started learning basic harmonic rules and to an advanced level one would innovate his own harmonic literature, but its all abt guiding your music into a sense of direction and sounding it to thr right colour. If you got a musical ear could quickly grasp what i mean
@@johannsebastienbach Not necessarily. From what I recall the other compositions were in a different style and the composed were trying to convey different feelings and thoughts.
@@constracted7331 it sounded amateurish to me though and clunky
That guy is brilliant, I hope he will keep working on his art.
see some chopin ballade no. 1 influence here. amazing piece!
I’m going to play this video during the Minnesota winter. 🌬❄️
i remember watching this years ago❤
Beautiful piece! I bought this piece and I'm in the process of learning it right now!
This is a good piece. Composer is pro trained unlike earlier ones
This was my favorite in that fan piece episode. It captures beauty, peace, and elegance in a way that I have only seen Lionel Yu do. To me, it's not as good as Lionel's best, but it is close.

Awesome. Work
I love this. Listen to it very often :D
I was crying dude 😂 😭 😭😭😭 it just so so good 😍
Im loving this piece❤️
I really know nothing about music composition but when I was listening to the video where you had all three fan submissions and this one played I instantly felt like this was the best one of the three violin slide it just felt more believable and I think it has a lot to do with the person who wrote it can also play it so they have a better grasp of how music composition should work and feel
this inspires me. I want to be able to play and compose pieces one day :)
What a lovely piece of art. GG.
3:46 comes the best part i have goosebumps on this
I get goosebumps every time I get to 2:48
