😂 video doesn’t make it to one minute after being published and my “No Life Hater” shows his support with a view and a thumbs down 😂 I love you 😘 keyboarding commando!
Thumbs down should be saved for only videos that are misleading....I'm a subscriber & 6 months later found this video to be helpful since I'm considering pulling the trigger on the Pro ti. My only question would be, how does it compare to the Lews Mach Crush combo that I currently use
I have the Mach Crush combo, Hypermag, Pro TI and Super Duty LFS. Love them all and its great to see fellow anglers sharing content, big thanks from Florida!!
I bought the team Lew's Pro TI combo with 12lb fluro on a dropshot with a 3/8 green googan weight and i can launch it anywhere i want! It's caught me well over a hundred Bass! It's my favorite combo well worth the money!
Vintage flashback, when the original lew childre & sons bb1 made by shimano came out in the 70's ,I swear it could free spool like that. Saved my money as a kid to buy one. That was the reel that changed everything to the standards we know today. I still remember my first cast and were it hit the water, thought I had it tip wrapped and the line broke
I bought a lews rod and reel combo last year have only been able to use it a few times. But what few times I have I like it. Not going to say love it yet until I use it some more
I think you have to subtract what ever ft its from the reel to the tip since the tip is already inside and not behind the go mark as to place it down. Thats how I bore sight my rifles. Over all thats far casting distance. Well done.
Mark my opinion but it has little to do with that reel and all to do with that rod. That load up on that road is amazing. If you had a heavy action rod or to soft it would never do those things. I love that rod. I have been looking at them for a while. Plus they are made by a Veteran and they are in Texas. Double win. Woot woot
We like Lew’s my grandsons favorite I have been watching videos on casting and the Shimano Curado dc averaged 200feet and the Daiwa Elite averaged 195 feet or thereabouts every cast
Great info! Would love to see a Shimano Metanium comparison. I have all Lew's reels and intend to stay with them, but would be interesting to see how some other brands stack up.
I have both and a slx dc reel. It’s funny my longest casting reel is actually some cheap reel called an ever cast fish camo reel. It gets about 2 yards longer than any of the reels and second to that is my slx then the metanium and almost identical to the ti and speed spool. I have a few abu reels and they are kinda ass. My revo sx is my go to flipping reel because anything past a flip or pitch it just seems kinda shitty. I like the drag on it but feels cheap in my hands
Had much fun as you did watching. Plus wondering what ppl are thinking and saying watching you on the side of the road with a fishing rod and yard marks. Yeah this quarantine has really gotten to him lol
Brother i recently bought a Lews pro ti... little different from my shimano DC... Could recommend what setting to set it at using 15-20lb power pro super slick v2? Never seen so many knobs and dials 😂
Thanks for brass tacks demonstration. I want to learn how to use the bait cast reel, currently my set ups have the spin cast. However, a buddy says his rods are 8 to 8 1/2 length. Does anyone know if that extra 16 inches actually makes a difference? I would a like a set up for surf casting lures. I can use my surf rod but its cumbersome.
When your fishing with the pro ti, what do you normally have the drag, gear ratio, spool tension; all the settings on? I just got mine in the mail and am not sure how I should set it up
Curious about the right hand retrieve and casting right handed? Switching hands seems to be odd. I cast right handed and retrieve with my left hand. Is this a common thing to do?
Robert Diehl bro I ain’t defending lews cause the are honesty trash compared to my Daiwa’s and shimanos, but they don’t resemble the metaniums or curados at all. They are actually based off of the abu’s revo line because they are made in the same factory in Korea or some country
It would be nice, however a bait caster reel is made for heavy lures 1/4oz and up. I'm doing the same thing on improving my casting distance. So far 1/2oz is the best distance.
From personal experience casting 60 yrds or more you lose the ability to set the hook properly. The fishing rod’s power will be reduced greatly even if the reel is fast enough to pick up the line. Distance casting is great for surf fishing and rod and reel setup.but not practical for the inshore fishing done along the Gulf Coast.
Good video mark, I wonder if the Lew's can outcast the curado DC. Only one way to find out. I hope Nick doesn't come out with a similar video. Lol.......
Hey buddy, I want to see a redo with that same reel. Why? Here's why. You are standing on the goal line and when you cast, the tip of the rod is about 6feet past the goal line with arms extending out. So I think that a redo is needed for this reel. Because you need to stand behind the goal line about 6ft or so. When casting the plug your rod tip is even with the goal line. I'm not hating on you, but I think a true measurement is at the tip of the rod. Not just at the goal line. I'm not hating on you, I'm just saying for true measurement. Love your videos. We down in Cali. Wishing to fish. Covid19 has got us quarantined. And again I'm not hating on you ok
😂 video doesn’t make it to one minute after being published and my “No Life Hater” shows his support with a view and a thumbs down 😂 I love you 😘 keyboarding commando!
Thank you for your service and the videos it's ok let them hate that just means you are doing something right
Man we are from the H!!! Keep shaking em off and roll with it!!!

Never used that particular reel. Sorry buddy but I can’t offer any help.
What are the breaks and spool tension?
I have the Mach Crush combo, Hypermag, Pro TI and Super Duty LFS. Love them all and its great to see fellow anglers sharing content, big thanks from Florida!!
👍
I love it! When I was a kid growing up in NYC I used to measure my casting distance by the number of sewer caps and drive ways I could cast, LOL.
Lmao I used to use trailers as a measuring distance. Always could get over 1.5 trailers lol
Not gonna lie you video was the deciding factor if I was gonna purchase a lews pro ti!! I now own 2 of those reels! Waiting FOR THE elite TI VIDEO
Can you do one with a spinning reel? Wondering how you would fair compared with BC.
I drome that can take my line longer than that, will be better than, spend 600 dollars.
I bought the team Lew's Pro TI combo with 12lb fluro on a dropshot with a 3/8 green googan weight and i can launch it anywhere i want! It's caught me well over a hundred Bass! It's my favorite combo well worth the money!
It’s a 🚀 launcher
I have the hypermag, custom lite and now this reel will be next. Hopefully it pairs up well with a dobyns extreme 7'4 mag heavy.
love lews, own quite a few , ti pro , couple hypermags, but I always go to my workhorses which are the tournament mbs. still running smooth.
I currently use the mach crush & was thinking about upgrading to the Pro TI, would you recommend the hypermag over the Pro?
Awesome man! Thank you for your service and your videos!!

Love the shirt. Put a smile on my face
My Lews only backlashes when I accidentally hook the other poles standing in my rod rack in back of the kayak. What A MESS
Do u know the spool tension/line weight he used?
Same 😂
I bought a lews rod and reel combo last year have only been able to use it a few times. But what few times I have I like it. Not going to say love it yet until I use it some more
Great video, looks like it held up great after that huge Jack from Surfside Jetties, that's a nice reel !
Impressive!!! Thanks for the demonstration.
I think you have to subtract what ever ft its from the reel to the tip since the tip is already inside and not behind the go mark as to place it down. Thats how I bore sight my rifles. Over all thats far casting distance. Well done.
Nice demonstration Mark
I got the same bait caster paired up with Sarge rod
It’s an awesome bait caster!

Looks exactly like something I would do! Nerds unite!
good review thanks for that maybe next time you can do the Lew's custom lite I'm looking for a new set up and lighter is what I'm looking for
We like Lew’s my grandsons favorite I have been watching videos on casting and the Shimano Curado dc averaged 200feet and the Daiwa Elite averaged 195 feet or thereabouts every cast
Nice . Thanks for the info.
Damn dude you got that arm!! Great job
Thanks 🙏
you should try the Concept a reel, i would wonder how it fairs against that, if needed i have a brand new one in the box to use.
I have one on a suppressor m I love it
A side profile video capture at an angle would get the landings better than a direct front capture I believe.
You have a good location and setup to do more of these. You should!
Great info! Would love to see a Shimano Metanium comparison. I have all Lew's reels and intend to stay with them, but would be interesting to see how some other brands stack up.

Just love watching your videos bro! Fish On Bros!
Had much fun as you did watching. Plus wondering what ppl are thinking and saying watching you on the side of the road with a fishing rod and yard marks. Yeah this quarantine has really gotten to him lol
This was pretty cool and useful. You should deff do this more
Brother i recently bought a Lews pro ti... little different from my shimano DC... Could recommend what setting to set it at using 15-20lb power pro super slick v2? Never seen so many knobs and dials 😂
Go ahead and get your steps in MARK. Test them all!

1/2oz plug on a medium power rod? The amount of bend it gets when loading, makes it look like it’s more than a med power. Great vid tho.
My favorite color but can't afford it keep doing what you do love your videos.
When your fishing with the pro ti, what do you normally have the drag, gear ratio, spool tension; all the settings on? I just got mine in the mail and am not sure how I should set it up
Thumbs up man, I just got a shimano slx baitcaster.
I enjoyed this alot. thank you.
That was a cool video. I was hoping someone would post one using the Lew’s tipro. Makes me want one now lol
Hey bro is the Jetty park in surf side closed ?? Can you please let me know ASAP
awsome video man
Pretty secluded places out throughout the diversionary I’m sure you could be safe out there
Curious about the right hand retrieve and casting right handed? Switching hands seems to be odd. I cast right handed and retrieve with my left hand. Is this a common thing to do?
Just what I do. I’m right hand dominant and have more control.
Yoooo chanced upon this video cause i was thinking of getting this reel.
Any chance youre gonna start comparing it against other reels yet? :D
Haters every brother. Dont let it bother ya! Keep up the amazing videos!
Man what are the chances. I drove by and didnt know it was you or what you were doing. i was like, is this dude fishing in the grass lol.
What kind of line are you using please
Wow nice to know that
Great vid
Thanks 🙏
With my skillz... I'd prolly cast over the power-line to the left and...
⚡⚡⚡
Hey I had a question how fast is your bait falling like what do you have your spool tension on like when it falls how fast is it falling.
Fast enough to get a small backlash when the plug hits the ground.
What does the numbers on the spool tension knob mean and how do i set them up right?
Braid, Fluorocarbon, Mono
Numbers are the test lb. Try going to Lew’s website and looking for the manual for your particular reel.
Wow, Very impressive and great demonstration their mark. Maybe I can get me one of them with this stimulus check.
I'm a believer 😎👍
All of the reels that are out these days seem to resemble Shimano’s Metanium or Curado...they’ve been around for years now.
Robert Diehl bro I ain’t defending lews cause the are honesty trash compared to my Daiwa’s and shimanos, but they don’t resemble the metaniums or curados at all. They are actually based off of the abu’s revo line because they are made in the same factory in Korea or some country
Can you do the test with a 1/8 ounce?
It would be nice, however a bait caster reel is made for heavy lures 1/4oz and up. I'm doing the same thing on improving my casting distance. So far 1/2oz is the best distance.
Wow 😳
💪
What is the wind doing?
Nice video, tight lines!!
Can this reel be used in saltwater?
Under the same scenario, how would the slx dc compare?
Longest cast on slx DC at patron meetup was 174ft but maybe not same exact setup meet up was while back before covid
weirdfish weirdfish thanks. I’ll go check that video out.
Why not cast with the weight of your lures, 1/4 and 1/8?
Nice
Hey I know that field. You must stay right down the street from me. If you ever see a Tundra pulling a grey Outback on a trailer that's me.
Video was good , try sharky3 kast king spinning reel
I just leaned some things new today,
Flight a drome longer than that, is cheaper.
Compare to to the Curado DC
For 600 Dollars total, I just Buy a Drome and set my line and Bait longer.
How did you have the spool tension knob set for this experiment? Tightened just enough to remove any side to side slop of the spool?
No need to cast that far, just gonna shorten the life or the reel. 🤷🏼♂️
From personal experience casting 60 yrds or more you lose the ability to set the hook properly. The fishing rod’s power will be reduced greatly even if the reel is fast enough to pick up the line. Robert Marroquin I honestly doubt it
wtf is a shankopotumus

He casts like that everytime so it's all relative. Remove 6 feet from each cast and there ya go.
Tutorial on how to spend money.
You really must be bored.
