If you love this thing, than you would love the Zhiyun Z1 Rider-M even more. You can mount it on a normal hand held stick to have the same product as in this video, or just mount it on your helmet or any where else you would mount a GoPro. Have a look on it, cause I love the Rider-M.

Hey Mitch, nice video. a few followup questions for you: 1.) what was battery life on gimbal when not charging through to your H4 silver? And when charging through from gimbal to H4 silver with continuous gimbal use and recording to H4 Silver (w/ what recording setting)? 2.) Any issues with quirks/gliches with gimbal? For example, with Feiyutech G4 I have now, if you pan too quickly it 'jerks' in same roll and pitch axes but 'overcorrects' in the yaw past its original frame of reference. 3.) When you run for more than 2 minutes (say 3-6 minutes), do you notice that the gimbal holds it's roll position? I notice G4 rolls right (10-20 degrees) always when running for more than a couple of minutes. 4.) I've read specs on Z1-Evolution and know it's not weather sealed. But do you have any experience getting it wet from a light or heavy rain? Thanks!
It can work continually for 4 hours. If not continually used it could generally work for a day. problems with FeiYu like you said will not happen on Zhiyun. It is not weather sealed. Some guys could still use it while snowing.
Wow! Looking good! But you ought to get Zhiyun Z1 Smooth-C instead of Evolution. Cos it can work with any smartphones/iPhones and GoPro as well as any action camera alike of GoPro. Anyway, two thumbs-up for your review here!

Long time i've used the G4 and i was happy with it. But i tested the Zhiyun Rider-M against the Feiyu-Tech WG. For now i prefer definitely the Zhiyun Rider-M (smoother stabilization, better alignment and durability).
I use this gimbal, and for me is the best hand gimbal ever, for me have only one issue, if you walked slow with the gimbal, on the footage appear one strange effect who i called the ''camel efect'', but overall is funtastic.

would I be better off waiting until the Karma Grip is released from GoPro over getting the Zhiyun? Is the karma grip + casing water resistant? That would make a huge difference.
Only thing about these stabilizers is that I can't mount the gopro with the waterproof case on. Sometimes I got on hikes and it's raining, I would like to be able to have that option. That would be awesome.
you probably wouldn't want to use this gimbal in the rain either, I believe it is not weather sealed. so you don't want rain getting into those gimbal motors. look into "weather sealed gimbals."
It's true. I bet the Zhiyun Rider for my bike rides and hooked it up to my chest mount and after a week the piece of shit stopped working. I had to send it back and get a full refund. Careful with the firmware update as well because it'll turn your language display into Chinese without even asking! This product is garbage!

Wind-factor; while the Feiyu tech is good when there's no wind or little wind- the zhiyun gimbals are stronger ;I've watched LOTS of YT video's and the Zhiyuns are slightly better- I bought the "Pround" similar to the Evolution without the joystick. Look for Cory May videos on YTube, he also uses the Pround. Hope this helps

I have something similar, Feiyu-tech g4s. Pretty simple to use and the video footage is so much better with it.
Very awsome mount. The thing is that the Feiyu Tech G4 gimball almost does the same job and is $70 cheaper than the Zhiyun Z1-Evolution.

I got the Neewer Pround 3 axis stabilizer for $200. it's basically the same with other gimbals like Zhiyun and Feiyu but 40-50$ cheaper.

Wow the stabiliser on this makes the normal handheld mount look like regular phone footage. What's the battery life like on it?
Actually, the battery can last 6-12 hours in full power.
