    20+year full timer here. I’ve lived in 3 motorhomes.
    no rv is flawless. all need aftermarket ‘engineering’ to solves problems that ‘should’ have been done during manufacturing.
    the real hope is that you get a couch with good bones and are handy enough to handle the small stuff.
    this isn’t a negative video. it’s just honest. which is refreshing.
    there is so much money on the line and the few youtube videos i have found with you talking about your 392MB have been the most informative.
    to a discerning buyer this stuff is gold.
    the quality on rvs have been going the wrong direction. videos like this help a certain type of buyer make a more informed decision.
    my parents just bought a 2022 392MB after a disastrous couple years in a brand new montana that had massive structural issues.
    youtube needs MORE product videos like this
    i would LOVE to see more videos of your ingenuity in modifying this 5ver. i’ve seen a walk through of some your mods on someone else’s channel.
    your logic at solving rv problems is top tier.

      Thank you, and I agree with you 100%!
      We have been off social media for over a year and, at this time, have no plans on returning.
      Since this video, most of the RV has been remodeled. New kitchen and new bedrooms. The only thing left is the bathroom.
      Most of the electrical has been completely redone.
      The entire water system has been redone from scratch. There is not a single original water line in sight.
      Maybe one day, Five2Go will do another video on this rig, but I don’t foresee myself picking up a camera again unless it’s for family videos.
      Social media just took the fun out of sharing. Never wanted to be negative, only wanted to be truthful.
      Cheers!
      -Dan

    Thanks for the walk through! I am picking mine up in 12 hours! (Same 2021 392MB). I was wondering if you could comment on your washer/dryer combo, what brand/model it is, and how well you like it.
    We also bought a 2022 Ram 3500, but SRW. I am hoping that doesn't bite me in the butt with the pin weight, I am going to have to be a little creative with my loading of it to ensure it doesn't get too heavy up front. That is one of the reasons I am considering a combo washer/dryer. I would like to keep the weight down as much as possible up front, so if I can save 50 pounds there, it is worth it!
    Did you ever get around to setting up your dual generators for auto turn on/off? I need to get a generator also, would you recommend your setup? Thanks!

    • @HomeMeetsRoad
      @HomeMeetsRoad  Год назад +1

      Congratulations!
      Despite my complaints, we love our rig!
      We have the vented Splendide Combo (I got it at Camping World). It works well, a bit slow compared to what we had in a house, but we had really good machines, so it comes down to what you are comparing it to.
      The current pin weight is around 3k fully loaded, but most of my heavy gear (like tools) is upfront.
      I haven’t gotten around to hooking up the auto start on the generators, supposed to tackle some of it next week. Honestly not sure what I’d recommend. If yours is pre-plumbed for onboard gen, then I’d go that route.
      By the way, look up the Palomino River Ranch group on FB.

    • @RHogan82
      @RHogan82 Год назад

      @@HomeMeetsRoad Awesome, thanks for the quick response! The 3k pin weight is really promising, we have 3731 lbs of cargo weight on the truck, so I imagine that I could load mine with that in mind and make it work for us. I really didn't want to get a dually, but this thing can still tow 25k lbs which is awesome.
      I will look into that FB group! Also, your complaints are valid, every rig has flaws, it is nice to know how others feel before purchasing. The dealers and TikTokers out there make sure to show off all the good features!

    Great video. Love your projects. I am interested in your dimmer switches. Do you have a link to them? Did you record an install for them? Same with the pin box wiring. Did you record it? Links to your parts list? My suggestion for the cabinets next to the microwave is Rev-A-Shelf. They have all size pull out storage and options to add the door front to the pull out so it eliminates the hinges. Keep up the great videos and hope to see you out there soon.

    Can you make a video and talk about towing the river ranch and your thoughts? Specifically how it handles in whatever weather you have experienced.

    • @HomeMeetsRoad
      @HomeMeetsRoad  Год назад

      I’m not sure this would make for a great video as I don’t have something to compare it to. It’s my first 5th wheel, and it’s a gooseneck. I never towed a pin box 5th wheel.
      I can compare how our vintage travel trailer towed with a RAM 1500 vs. the 3500 Dually, and that’s a NIGHT AND DAY difference. All I can say is the dually is a game changer. This 5th wheel tows easily with the dually.
      Any specific questions you have that I may try and answer?
      Thanks!

    I was going to buy the same 5th Wheel. Ended up making friends with the parts manager prior to the purchase and he told me not to. Said they are no good. Said everything keeps falling apart on them and owners keep bringing them back. When I was there one came in with the left rear open. Owner said he was driving and the rear left sidewall separated from the rear cap. I got scared and bought a used 2018 5th wheel. Bought used because I knew most the new rv jitters had already been fixed.
