  • I like to repair stuff , recycle or reuse their parts to make something else with them..
If this repair holds, ok, if not I will salvage the good cells for my other projects .
    Thanks for watching

    Just a few safety tips:

You do not have to disconnect the battery to charge it. All cells can be charged individually while connected. Those cells went out of balance. This happens usually because the battery is not charged to 100%. The BMS on that battery is a top balancer, meaning it will only start balancing when it is over 4.1 volts, around 90%. If you don't charge it all the way, it never balances, and some cells will have lower voltage than others. It is a bit counterintuitive, in that, it is harmful to charge your batteries to 100% but at the same time because of the circuitry on your battery, you kind of have to.

My 4ah einhell power xchange battery had a different fault. All three LEDs would flash nine times. The cells were all full and yet it wouldn't drive any tools. Seen little use and was well out of warranty. Swapped out the battery circuit board with an einhell 4ah replacement board from AliExpress for £6.

Thanks, I had exactly the same issue with a 3Ah pack - one cell pair was down to ~0.2V :o - bumped the bad cells' voltage up to around 3.5V @100mA using a bench supply before upping it to 1A to get it up to 4.1V to balance with the other cells and the charger seemed to then be happy with the pack - think the reason was not being used all winter but puzzled as to why one cell pair went bad :/

I have a battery that shows the green and red LED on but not blinking. Stored it in room temperature but it has no effect. Is there an other way to charge the batteries separately ? Such a T240 is more expensive than a new battery.

have a nice day. There is NTC heat resistance under the yellow band on the battery. Can you measure and tell me how many ohms it is?

It seems like a lot of kerfuffle when the batteries and chargers are so cheap I was gonna try and fix my one but I’ve got a good deal on a charger and a battery so it will be going to not landfill my local dump for responsible recycling. Or I might put in the local supermarkets battery bin

I didn't fully understand how to individuate the faulty cell. I get i have to measure the voltage and look for batteries below the minimum threshold but where can i find out this value?
