- Thats a wrap on my book tour! Its been an incredible few weeks connecting with people at book stores, events and online to launch my book Go Gently. Thank you so much to everyone who has bought my book, I really appreciate you. I hope you are all enjoying reading it and taking action to nurture yourself and the planet.
I started my book tour in New York with The Today Show, followed by a talk with Joe Holder at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square. Footage at the talk was shot by Ben Gross. I visited two of my favorite independent book shops McNally Jackson and Strand. Last stop was an event with For Days for a book reading and an opportunity for people to recycle textiles with their Take Back Bag.
Next stop was Los Angeles for a talk with Kevin J Patel at the Barnes & Noble at The Grove. One event I sadly didn’t get any footage from was celebrating Earth Day with LA Compost for a composting workshop and book reading.
I then headed to my home town London to speak on BBC Breakfast, then Blue Peter my favourite TV show when I was a kid. A little interlude with the sites of London and vintage clothes shopping with my mum.
I then had a book signing at Waterstones in Kensington, it was lovely meeting everyone! I was a Book Fairy for the day as I hid my books around East London for people to find and take for free.
I had a great time on This Morning on ITV to demonstrate some recipes from my book with Dermot O’Leary and Allison Hammond.
A wonderful evening with Evanna Lynch chatting about my book and our experience as first time writers with the How To Academy. We had such a great turnout at the event and people tuning in on the livestream.
My final live interview was on Channel 5 News before tying up the book tour episode with some personal reflections and celebrating with a glass of Prosecco with my parents and Andrew at our favourite local Italian restaurant.

Just BRILLIANT ! The amount of change the world has gone through in my lifetime is mind blowing . I grew up in southern New England , ice fished every winter , now I don't even own ice fishing gear because we rarely have safe ice . I've watched creeks and streams that used to flow year round dry up . Rivers that used to hold native Brook trout that no longer have them in it . Algae blooms in ponds and lakes that include toxic algae . Some deadly . Keep doing what you're doing , spread the word ! Give a hoot and don't pollute !!!! ✌️🙏

Lovely to know that you still cherish a character you were introduced to in your teenage. He Bonnie, I love watching your videos and I have been loving your book, already re-reading it, now making notes. I do not just say this because it is you -and you are kinda well... well known ;)- but it is honestly the first book that gave me a handle on changing small and larger things in my life, and in the collective arround me, which I have been wanting for a long time. I find especially the fact that you give attention to small personal action but also connect this to bigger mor impactful action, in an intersectional way, really helps me see this connection as well and gives me concrete tips to go into it. So thank you, you really made a change and I am inspired :)

Even though I haven't met you in person *yet*, I was personally touched by these glimpses and clips of the different book tours in the video. It made me emotional to see the response you got during those events (and are still getting for the book). While I haven't been able to purchase a printed copy of the book(though, I look forward to it), I have successfully bought the audiobook (through 'audible') and the digital version (through 'Kindle'). Despite having only listened up to the 'Introduction' and read the initial pages of the first chapter until now, I can clearly sense the efforts you put to truly manifest yourself through this book. For example, you pressed yourself on achieving the articulation in the audiobook and it reflects. Personally, I prefer the audiobook because it feels like listening to a friend having one of the calmest and most beautiful voices in the world, sharing a lesson that will benefit you as well as the planet.
You said you felt *Surreal*, and I can't tell you sufficiently how surreal it is for me to see the book as an entity today and the admiration you've garnered because of it. With that said, it's a relief that you are going to take a much-needed and well-deserved break. Kudos to you and all the best for the feature film you're working on!😊
(Some random thoughts)
• The background music, as always, was soothing.
• Strangely, this video had an even better, a more positive vibe as soon as the London part began.
• That 'Choo Choo' sounded so good. (If you don't already then) Please try to sing more often.
• Indeed, that was the 'most scenic parking spot' I have ever seen.
• It was lovely to witness a modern-day fairy like you busy being a 'Book Fairy'.
• *If you ever think about translating your book to Hindi, please oblige me by giving a chance for it. Agreed, I'm not a professional, but I would love to be of every help.*🙂
I’ve made the Go Bars multiple times, once for a long road trip which worked perfectly. I’m excited to try out the other recipes. Definitely going to be a staple! I also have a small collection of upcycled jars now.

It’s not very eco-friendly to be flying around when the whole point of the book is to encourage people to think and take action about what we can do to save the planet. Flying is one significant thing we have to reduce at the minimum and consider it only for real emergencies (especially when there are no other transportation options).

Your book is amazing! As someone who has been advocating for the environment for years I still really enjoyed reading it. It's not pushy and it's so easy for others to understand and helps them get started on their own journey protecting the environment in which we live as a guest of Earth. Congratulations on the release and success of Go Gently! I haven’t been able to get a hands on a copy yet (nobody local seems to have it) but I have recently made the switch to Stasher bags instead of disposable plastic bags, and I’ve been vegan for a month!
