Yes this is correct it depends on what the runways have approaches for. Your efb will always show you when you click the information button of the airport which approaches are available to choose from when you look at the approach charts or set up the flight plan. You might be lucky if a small private airfield has a VOR approach if it has a VOR station near by.
Many thanks, yeah i have noticed a good deal of small airports have zero information showing in the approaches section. Wasn't sure if i was doing something wrong. Keep up the great vids my guy!
In such cases can’t we use Visual Approach on the G1000? In FS20 the G1000 NXi got this feature in a later update but I’m not sure if it carried over to FS24. I know it feels somehow “cheating” but as a beginner it helped me a lot in the past while I was trying to follow & maintain the dozen of different systems of the plane while on final. On Xbox, with a Frankenstein monster controller mapping scheme things can easily get messy! 🤪
@@foteinimantzali8691 I’m actually not sure if this has that feature but I’m sure it’s the G1000NXi that we have in msfs2024. I remember when the enhanced G1000 from working title came to 2020 they said it will soon become the default for all G1000 default aircraft.
@@OzzySafa We’ll verify this soon enough. Unfortunately I’m not currently in the sim to check it up. Thank you so much for the guides by the way. Truly appreciated!
@@OzzySafa probably, but usually I use Alt to get my cruise but once I reach my cruise I set alt to 0, VNAV usually descends to the set alt on the flight plan. Thanks for the video though!

@ your welcome I have a video on the graphic settings I use if you haven’t checked it out. I still think it desperately needs a patch for the bugs in the efb. 12 December it should be out
Yes it was the same with 2020 takes a little time, I mainly sim Helicopter as I cancelled my Navigraph sum in 22, but having watched yours would like to get back into jets on 2024 as the EFB and charting I now know thanks to you is very much improved, I will check out the vid you mention on your graphics set up. I am very much looking foward to when you start live streaming and fly ins. We have a great Heli community and do fly ins every week with live comms chat on Dicord.
Atc seems the be worse than msfsX. In X , atc would set you up for the approach, (intercept the localiser), in 2024, I can't get it to do that. In X, I could ask ATC for specific approaches, but in 2024, I'm limited to only change destination, or cancel IFR. Am I doing something wrong, or if the flight sim that came out 25 years ago really more advanced, and in my opinion , a better tool for instrument practice approaches?
The ATC is really bad in my opinion. MSFS 2020 had better ATC for setting up the approaches. I feel like 2024 was released as an unfinished product. Honestly it's not even to a "beta" level yet.
Thank You! Was hoping you would also do the RNAV approach! The ILS Approach video was so helpful.
Next video is even more advanced. VOR approach but there's a little more technical procedure that I'm going to show you.
Clear and concise. Very much appreciated.
@@GertJanMes Thank you! I appreciate the feedback 🙌
Brilliant video
Thxxx man ❤👍🏻🙏
Very nice. Do some airports have no options for RNAV or ILS?
Flying in career mode some smaller runways only have the option for "direct" in approach.

you can have your alt set to 0. VNAV won't drop passed FP alt
@@jordantaylor965 there must be a bug because every time I tried it without setting an altitude it would never descend.

Be so much fun when they release the air race add ons this is where it’s going to be a crazy experience with the community.

As per usual, on the XBOX platform, We can't do half of those settings 😡
Soon come it will all work how it should
