Esp32 is already dual core. Using io expander is sensible option. If u have to use 2 esp32 just for io expansion then you should reevaluate the design

Awesome explanatios, as always!! I just love to see the bell notification to see a new Schematix video!
Would you consider adding a checksum or similar approach to make sure the received message does not contain any transmission errors?

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Absolutely you could add checksum to the logic and ignore bad transmission data if needed

I've got a project I'm working on, where the ESP32 is listening to the CANbus, and has to update a TFT screen. This dual-ESP setup would be a great way of speeding up CAN communications, thankyou! :D

good idea, but i would send shorter meassages and add PWM functions to it.

Can you do some stuff on speakers, what increases the wattage or the ohms, what gives the bandwidth 20hz to 20khz how to make a speaker

Can i still have the complete code of controling the motors and sensors on the same esp32 and use the other esp32 only for its pins? meaning without splitting the code

this looks like a task that a single esp32 could handle with ease, why were the 2 cores, or even a single core version of the esp not enough ?
