Thank you for the video, while i have heard of all the micro systems you have mentioned, i have not really seen a video of them being integrated so well. For exmaple, usually i hear GTD and second Brain being mentioned tgt but your framework totally makes sense. I also struggle with moving in and out of digital and paper planning, having them for specific stages makes so much sense instead of jumping from one to the other when i sense myself neglecting one and not benefiting from it. Thanks for taking time to share your organised approach!
Any tips for scheduling and time management for an ADHD female that also works emergency response so my schedule is never predictable? I love the 12wk year book as well as GTD, Building a second brain and feel good productivity among others. The problem with those bokks is they are based on predictable schedules and time which is something I rarely have. If an oil spill happens my entire life can be put on hold for weeks. Its also why I have issues with pre-plannng or sticking to routines. Perfect example in the middle of painting a room large oil spill occurred the walls are partially edged, and I spent the past two weeks working 15+HR days. Actually worked 104hrs last week and 93 so far this week. I get so hyperfocused on work that self care like feeding myself or sleeping just goes out the window. I love having a plan and routine its just hard to plan when you never know if something is going to completely throw your plans out the window. My ADHD is mostly internal brain never stops, some nights I have to take 5-10mg of adderall to get my brain to slow down enough for me to sleep. I also suck at relaxing at least the way normal people relax I tend to constantly work on projects. My brain tends to make me restless and always have to have something to work on. He'll I can't even watch videos on here without them being in 2x speed if I want to focus on thr m
Hi! Thank you so much for sharing this, because you bring up such a good point and problem that I am sure many people that have unpredictable schedules can relate. I highly recommend checking out a book called "Change your schedule, change your life" ( amzn.to/4dyH5Gl ) It has great information but I love it because the authors give recommendations for those that do not have traditional schedules in each section. I think it will help you with trying to manage your time but also live with greater wellness. Hope this helps! and thank you so much for watching !!
@@TiffanySheltonThank you so much for the recommendation. I believe this is why I continue seeking more RUclips content - my unpredictable schedule. I make sure to implement, not just plan. Then, like the original commenter said, something at work happens and the schedule is out the window. Happy to say I've come a long way with self-care during such time. Edit: It's currently free on Kindle Unlimited.
@@TiffanyShelton thank you so much for your video! I have the same issues as my ADHD can take over my life on one unexpect thing happening or something wrongly prioritazed happening in the middle of my day. As a woman with aslo what used to be called Asperger syndrome, I have the need for rutines, planning and sheduling and also the need of noverlty, fun and explore od the ADHD. My life is a mess even I dont have to work on an fixed schedule, I 've tried, but not even considering my energy flow has worked for me. Would love to see some comments or products for grown up women who struggle with theses issues. Thank you so much for bringing it up!
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! So funny you mention this. I had not heard of this until last week when one of my clients mentioned it, but I had to research it because I never learned about it in grad school. Def so interesting, and hard to conceive.

Dr. Shelton, thanks for the video!⭐️ I have a random question. Do you know anyone with aphantasia- where a person doesn't visualize in their mind?
