Good video mate.. the carb float is hard to remove on these

Yes, almost impossible without damage to the float pin. I use an ultrasonic bath and carb cleaner with excellent results, leaving the float in situ.

What is the difference between the Atco Balmoral 14sk and the Qualcast Classic 35s, apart from the engine. How much would you expect to pay for a good Balmoral.

How do I remove the height adjuster from this mower

When using the sharpening tool do you run the blades forward and then when backlapping do you run the blades in reverse?
    Thank you

Good question. It would be better as you say to run the blade forward with the sharpening tool attached and then backwards for backlapping. However any direction will do, I feel. My drill is a 1500w Mc Allister and only runs in one direction which means both are backwards for me. Sometimes the sharpening tool is 'ejected' with this method, so I have made an aluminium C bracket to hold it in place (shown in video).

Thanks for the quick reply, picking my mower up later today but as its second hand I was going to sharpen the blades the same way you did but was unsure about the process. Thanks again buddy, great video 👍🏽
