How does a community wearing their traditional attire threaten someone else? What happened in Kattemadu temple was out of pure hatred and insecurity of Arebashe people. Stop copying kodava customs. Be proud of your own heritage. Not all vokkaliga gowdas in kodagu copy kodava customs. I respect them. Live in peace

No one is copying kodava costumes.If u go across the state u may find different communities wearing the same costume from ancient times.Sarees were worn in the fashion to suit their occupation as agriculturist in ealier times.There is nothing like copying others.

ಮೊದಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನ ಸರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ, ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮಾಡು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡವರ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ ಉಡುಗೆ ಉಟ್ಟು ಹೋದರೆ ನಿಮಗೇಕೆ ತೊಂದರೆ,ಅನಾದಿಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಪಂಚೆ ಶರ್ಟ್, ಶಲ್ಯ ಹಾಕಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಹೇಳೋದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ, ಅದನ್ನ ನಮಗೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಹೆರ್ತೀರ. ಕೊಡವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾಕೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಧ್ವೇಷ,ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚು. ನಮ್ಮ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ನೀವು ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಯಾರದು ತಪ್ಪು ಅಂತ. ಬೇಕಂತಲೇ ಮಾಡಿದ ಷಡ್ಯಂತ್ರ ಅಂಥ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೂ ಗೊತ್ತು

@geethasurendra5851 forget about the saree!! What about other folklore? Peecha kathi, odi kathi, koke thaathi, jo maale, Pathak. Mandh aat, kol aat, kupya, puthari, kail podh, kaveri changrandhi. These are uncommon and only and only relative to Kodagu! It's very disheartening to have someone question the very existence and integrity of Kodavaame! You would understand if you were in the shoes of a disappearing community. We respect other minorities of kodagu. There are yeravas, kurubas, kodavas, amma Kodavas, pegde Kodava and tens of other more! We respect them because they follow their uniqueness and are brave doing that. Whereas some people from arebashe cheaply imitate kodavas i have close proud arebashe vokkaligas in kodagu who have their own traditions and follow then with pride! They will always have our respect.
But a bunch of twats, keyboard heroes who are nothing but cowardice and insecure constantly eyeing someone else's culture? Thats a shame and embarrassingly so!
