- Healy is a census designated place in Denali Borough. The history of Healy is intertwined with that of coal mining and construction of the Alaska Railroad, which both began in the area in 1918 and 1919 respectively.
I was a seasonal employee of Holland America/Princess in 2019 and lived in the building at 4:55 . Great to see all the familiar parts of town as well as a few new places.
Coming to work in April for 5 months. Super excited.

I’ve walked across that bridge many times working up in California creek and a few times at night drunk from a wild night at Otto lake lodge
Was there last week(June 2024) when visiting Denali for 3 days. Went to 3 Bears every night on the way back from the park.
I thought it was interesting that women who worked at the check out registers were from eastern Europe.
I would think there would be local residents needing those jobs.

I dont think so. The only bus I have seen is the bus taking tourist to the Denali Park.
@@lovealaska1707 Ok thanks for the reply. I'll do the 20 mile walk fro Healy over 2 day's. Or thumb a lift 🙂 Wish I'd done it years ago.
