Id like it if you made a video covering the varying kinds of energy shields in 40k. Void shields refractor fields ect. I think it would be very fascinating it's surprising how little attention they get compared to other sci fi's
This brings back memories of the first time my Dark Eldar encountered the Orks... I was relatively certain that fielding the maximum number of splinter cannons would be enough to cut the greenskins down to size since my warriors were also no strangers to close combat. And then I noticed all the burny goodness that my opponent had brought to the table. Suffice it to say after my infantry had been reduced to twisted sculptures of melted flesh my lord and his retinue reaped a bloody harvest, even managing to claim the enemy Warboss as a trophy for Commoragh, sadly a series of unfortunate rolls then reduced my shadow field to a smoking ruin and saw my proud lord get drowned in the green tide as well. I definitely should have brought my haemonculus, as noone does the flamer style weapons quite as well as the Dark Eldar, but I'd been so confident my lord would clean up in melee.

@@Ryliath I mean that real flame throwers have a much longer effect ive range than tabletop simulates. The leman russ is aparently an adaptation of an old french design with a faily week engine. I do not know weather modern armor is ang good in 40k terms so armor and firepower is a big question mark.

I imagine when I start collecting my astra militarum army the weapon I will enjoy painting and fielding the most would be the flamer. Flame throwers being an absolute favorite of mine everywhere I find them.
