THE PREPARATION:
For this technique you only need the usual materials. A few cups, a canvas, Pouring Medium, acrylic paints, water and a few sticks to stir.
For the mixture of paint in the video vinyl adhesive was used as medium.
MIXTURE OF PAINT:
30% Paint
60% Pouring Medium (PVA Glue)
10% Distilled Water
THE POURING PROCESS:
First you pour a cushion of black paint on your canvas and spread the paint evenly. Then you layer the paint of your choice in a cup. I always separate the colours with a little white, this creates nice contrasts and the colours don't mix so fast.
Now you carefully pour the paint from the cup over your canvas in 8-shaped movements. Then you tilt the painting until you like the motif and let the painting dry for at least 3 days at medium room temperature. Make sure that your painting does not get direct sunlight, because this can cause cracks.
