  • First-up: The Geese. Somehow I think Walmart receives a tax-incentive, for having Geese, every Summer. Considered a wildlife refuge or something. If that's the case, I'm gonna install a sanctuary pond in my yard for Crayfish.
I did not realize there is a Harbor Freight, in the Copper City. Always have the other hardware stores of Rome, NY in the news(thefts), but not Harbor Freight. Odd. Have to check-out the interior, before Father's Day.
Success Drive, located across Erie Boulevard from Harbor Freight company, has many businesses. Even noticed a large vacant building. Great condition. Maybe another microchip plant, in four decades, with the lackluster achievements & spending of Mohawk Valley EDGE. Mayor Lanigan, should get some state/federal money, and make-it a Autumn/Winter homeless shelter. Politicians rant big about helping the homeless. Reality sets-in when they're elected to office.
Need a vehicle? National Grid, has an auction or two every year on Success Drive. Selling used utility vehicles and equipment.
Need a delivery made? UPS, is on Success Drive.
Runnings Outdoor Distribution, is located in the former Rite Aid warehouse. Big building. Been in Running's store a few times. Over-priced, and the employees gotta be the worse of retail stores in the area. Vexing how it stays in operation.
Bailey's Karate Studio. Wow. That business has been in that exact location, since I was in Junior high. Wow. That does make me feel...antique.
oh. I gotta stop looking at the clouds. Hitting too many trees and falling-down.

The stores i recall seeing in the plaza with the Harbor Freight are OfficeMax, Dollar Tree, and the Shoe Depot. I dont know what the 2 other stores were. Crazy how dollar tree is back in West Rome after like 20 years. This part of the plaza was built in 1998 and accompanied Sears Hardware as well. It would later convert to Sears Outlet and eventually close in 2016 and the plaza remained vacant for 2 years until Harbor Freight moved in in 2018.
