Hi, my windows 10 start menu does not close automatically after I click on something in the jump list like it used too until I click on the screen somewhere. It has been doing this now for about 2 weeks. I have done a system reinstall but the problem was still there so then I did a full clean install on a new SSD and it fixed it but now today an app did an update and right away I had the same problem back, I have searched the internet but have not been able to find anything about, do you have any idea's what could be the problem. Thanks.

If your Windows 10 Start menu doesn't automatically close after clicking on an item in the jump list, it can be frustrating. This issue might be caused by a variety of factors, including software conflicts or incorrect settings. Here are some steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve the problem:
      Restart Your Computer:
Sometimes, issues like this can be temporary glitches. A simple restart might fix the problem.
      Check for Windows Updates:
Ensure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. Microsoft releases updates to address various issues and improve system performance. Go to "Settings" > "Windows Update" and check for updates.
      Update Graphics Drivers:
Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can sometimes cause issues with graphical elements in Windows. Visit your graphics card manufacturer's website (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and install the latest drivers.
      Check for Third-Party Software Conflicts:
Sometimes, third-party software can interfere with Windows functionality. Try disabling or uninstalling recently installed or updated software to see if the problem is resolved. Pay particular attention to any software that might customize the desktop or Start menu.
      Check for Malware or Adware:
Scan your computer for malware and adware using a reliable antivirus or anti-malware program. Some malicious software can alter Windows behavior.
      Reconfigure Start Menu Settings:
Right-click the Windows Start button and select "Settings."
      Go to "Personalization."
Choose "Start" in the left menu.
Check the "Use Start full screen" option. Toggle it on and off to see if it resolves the issue.
      Reset Start Menu Layout:
If the issue persists, you can try resetting the Start menu layout. To do this, open PowerShell with administrator privileges and run the following command:
      sql
      Copy code
      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
      Use a Different User Account:
Create a new local user account on your computer and see if the problem exists in the new account. If not, the issue might be related to your user profile.
Check for Updates or Patches from the App Developer:
If the issue occurred after an app update, check if the app developer has released any patches or updates to address this problem. Apply any available updates for the specific app causing the issue.
      Contact Microsoft Support:
If none of the above steps work, you might want to contact Microsoft support for additional assistance, as the issue could be more complex and require in-depth troubleshooting.
Remember to back up your important data before attempting major changes to your system, and proceed with caution when making changes to system settings.

@@discoverAll Well I discovered my problem is my Dropbox install, as soon as I uninstall it all is fine but when I install it again the problem is back so I guess Dropbox and I are going to part company after about 10 years if I can't figure what is causing it.
