Hasan with 30 of his friends climbed the stairs up while they got shot at with: stones, Arrows, Spears and even more. Hasan got above with only 12 friends survived, He got shot with 27 arrows but still managed to plant the Ottoman flag
@@kodesh1674 I gotta admit that Gustiniani was a superrior warrior. As far as I know they never fought each other 1v1. Gustiniani got hit by an arrow and fatally wounded. But this is a movie and even so it's quite a fair match.
Well historically this is wrong. I don't think there was a man that could kill Giovanni Gustiniani in hand to hand combat. Man was a menace to the Ottomans

1. Didn’t really happen 2. It’s a movie, get over it 3. Gustiniani: 1 arrow he go bye bye. Hasan: 27 arrows, still plants flag in İstanbul. Just saying
Guys, I'm a Genoese so just like Giovanni Giustiniani Longo, I really appreciate that our very valiant ancestor is still respected even now even by the Turks just like centuries ago by his own enemies who were always them. The only flaw is that unfortunately this film is very bad and inaccurate, Giovanni died in a legendary way fighting to the end while here he dies quite trivially while Hasan (assuming he existed given that there is no certain information about him) also given his cultural importance they could have given him more glorious space linked to the history of the flag instead of killing a character who perhaps he never even got to meet in real life. However, as already said, I appreciate everyone's respect for our general, my city in the Middle Ages was truly powerful, in battles our soldiers have always been decisive, such as in Jerusalem, in Lepanto, in the Reconquista or etc., and we were also decisive in discovering the Canary Islands and in helping the Portuguese and the Spanish to explore Asia and America, Genoa no longer has its power but still retains its splendor and as Genoese trust me we are always as angry as we have always been
Giustiniani mert adammış. Hasan ilk başta yere eğilmişken kılıcı vurmak yerine tekme atıp düello yapabileceği yere yuvarladı. Kimsenin farketmediği bir ayrıntı.
2:47 where and why didn’t Giustiniani just thrust his blade? In doing so he would’ve cut Hassan’s neck and the the enemy flag would not have been raised . Thus the ottomans would’ve lost
At the beginning of the video, Hasan was leaning on the ground, closing his dead friend's eyes. At that moment, Giustiniani saw Hasan, but instead of killing him, he rolled him down to duel. Giustiniani is manful guy. I'm saying that.
