  • In part 4, I make the water lines and oil return line, and fit the oil feed line. Also get the turbo mounted and bolted up hopefully for the final time.

    Hey mate, your video series has pushed me to turbo my EP3!
    Could you clarify the routing of your water hoses, where exactly did you take your feed/return from ?
    Thanks

      Hello
      The water feed and return are plumbed into the metal water pipes which would usually go to the throttle body.

    nice videos fella but the oil return should of been above the pan level to be more efficient for the oil return, but well done.

    • @1BlueGhost
      @1BlueGhost  Год назад

      Yeah I looked at loads and they all seem to go about there for the oil return. It has been ok anyway so far 2+ years on

    Really good work, how much boost are you planning on running through it, have you got colder spark plugs or running standard ones.

    • @1BlueGhost
      @1BlueGhost  3 года назад +1

      I haven’t got colder plugs yet although they are saved on my eBay watch list. Not too sure on boost, the wastegate has a 5psi spring so will start there and then see what happens. The aim is for about 450hp.

    See the 2 other pipes under the throttle body that were connected to water feed and return what do you do with them?

    • @1BlueGhost
      @1BlueGhost  12 часов назад

      Nothing attached to them on the throttle body. Used pipes from the engine as the water feed and return to the turbo

    damn that k20 is rusty as all hell, where did you find that at? more rust than ive ever seen on one, hard to believe that the unibody will pass MOT lookin like that! also did you use red RTV to put that pan back on instead of hondabond? curious choice!

    Your oil drain fitting angle is bad and will cause backing up and turbo smoking.

    • @1BlueGhost

      It didn’t cause any issues in the 2 years I had it 😂

      @@1BlueGhost oh nice. The reason I mentioned it because my drain fitting was a little angled down and caused smoking in exhaust.

      @@1BlueGhost so is my Garrett but I'm only running an oil feed. the coolant ports are blocked off. not Many ppl run them water cooled. it only heats up the coolant and makes the radiator less efficient. I've never seen a need for both

    • @1BlueGhost
      @1BlueGhost  2 года назад

      @@TheShangralaaaa17 oh right didn't realise that. to be honest my coolant temps have always been bang on, its quite a large radiator on the ep3 id say. ive always had turbos oil and water cooled. the waste gate has water ports, but I guess I havent piped those in. Might have a look at changing it if it works ok still as you say.
