I think I could spend day after day in a classroom listening to Tom talk about his experiences, his interpretations, his skill, his craft about every play, movie or script he has done. He makes it all so enjoyable and it's a learning experience just listening to him. He's just a joyful genius.
01:03:51 This interviewer gained my respect. What he said is spot on. Tom's voice is such a pleasure to listen to. On top of that, he's polite, charming, eloquent, very well spoken and intelligent. It's such a shame we don't get to see him acting more often. You can truly see how dedicated he is when it comes to his parts. He always thoroughly studies the characters he's portraying so he doesn't mess up. Great actor and person all around. Love him!
He answers every question with consciousness, and with very careful thoughts. He carefully chooses the words and form every sentence as if he is writing a poem. This is wise and beautiful and academic.
54:09 "...unique physiognomy..." Damn. Tom is good looking man, no doubt. Yet with each interview I've seen, he proves that intelligence will always be the real (and original) sexy.
So glad Dominic mentioned "I Saw the Light," because it was overlooked and misunderstood when it came out. Tom gave one of the great performances in this or any year and "I Saw the Light" is 100% worth seeing for Tom's performance as Hank.
Rangers Fan Jill, cannot agree more with you. "I Saw The Light" for me is a GEM! Those who did not like it, or bashed it, cannot recognize an epic film, even if it hit them in the teeth (or eyes) as the case may be!
I agree that "Hank" was overlooked! It was a profound performance that needs closer examination by critics. Tom's work was beautifully done!! Admirable!! Beautiful film with tears and sadness at the end!
No doubt, Tom is one of the most talented actors and every film he did or took part is worth seeing. This man really gave his heart to all of his work.
Tom is so thoughtful, intelligent, gracious...and what a talent! I will watch anything he does. I do so love his passion and dedication to his craft. And this has just made me want to go watch The Night Manager again (for the fifth time). Also, God bless him and his tight pants.
1:03:47 .. Man you are the real MVP, that interviewer just helps my faith in humanity grow and Tom Hiddleston is my ultimate aid to a better life. Seriously.. I can't not to listen to him. Just.. I find inspiration in his words in so many ways.. Absolutely amazing.
Really like that Tom is a watcher, he enjoys films just like us. That makes him better, because he knows what he likes to watch and how movies should present the story. How important face features are, a look, a smile, a twitch, it tells so much with so little.
The Night Manager is such an amazingly written show, well directed, cinematic are amazing, flow of story is amazing. Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor, has such depth and intelligence of creating and bringing stories/characters to life that make it inspiring to watch film and tv.
Great interview. It’s refreshing when an interviewer doesn’t rehash the same questions over and over to the point that the actor gets bored. And Tom really answered the questions for actors in the audience well. I’m so glad they talked about I Saw The Light so much. It’s a brilliant film and was totally ignored. No one else could have done a better job with that role. Tom should have got an Oscar nomination for it. He totally embodied Hank and was better in his singing and performance than Joaquin ´s Johnny Cash or Taron’s Elton John. I’d love to see him do more comedy. He has a great sense of humour.
I love Tom Hiddleston interviews! Please someone out there, make him the next Bond! In the mean time can't wait for the next Thor movie and Skull island!
karen taylor Do you realize that if he takes James Bond, he will not be able to do anything else. I haven't seen Daniel Craig do anything else since he has been Bond. Tom would be a perfect Bond but I'd rather see him do other things.
Great actor, great series, great interview, great suit! Thank you for posting this, Sag-Aftra and thank you for taking the time, Tom. Good luck for Emmy night.
Amazing interview, appreciate Mr. Dominic Patten's incredible questions & as always enjoyed how Mr.Tom Hiddleston eloquently answers them with such passion & honesty. I don't even mind listening to Tom's lovely voice when he tells us stories before he gives his response to the actual question. I have watched numerous interviews with Tom & never a dull moment. He is very charismatic & authentic which draws his loyal fans to support him & watch all his movies where he continues to do an impeccable job 😘
Great interview. I was often disappointed with the short promotional interviews in which Tom was rushed to say things only briefly. I like the way the interviewer acknowledges Tom's great storytelling ability and intelligence. Both of them are equally smart and fun, and the synergy is simply great. I only wish that he didn't jumps in too much while Tom's speaking.
Interesting! Until I've heard him say that the story is "an exploration of what it means to be English" (14:25) and the "analysis of English cultural identity and pride in what that means", I didn't fully understand what is it that keeps me coming back to this series - as I've re-watched it a few times now
Intelligent, thoughtful interview on craft, identity and the acting process… And movies, from big to small. Dominic makes an excellent host and interviewer, asking interesting questions that spark new insights from Tom… as well as an entertaining repeat of the observations that have comprised the central theme of Tom's 2-day LA Emmy promotion blitz. Well done; definitely worth watching. (You may want to check out the other four or so RUclips videos from the rest of the Tour, from August 11 and 12th.)
Quite an amazing actor he has a voice that has a similar note as Sean Connery you enjoy the sound amazing in the Night Manager one of the best TV Films I have ever seen.
No question about it: great actor, great intelligence, kind. I think he missed out on being a true teenager; socially he needs some growth. Love him anyway though.
What exactly is a logophiliac, please (not a native speaker of English, sorry)? Someone who appreciates nice, eloquent speech, who is interested in language in general?
There's no need to be sorry. Your English is excellent. It is a person who is sexually excited by words. The words 'logo' and 'philia' are of Greek origin. A close example in pop culture might be the character of Wanda (in the film 'A fish called Wanda'), who demands that her lovers speak Italian to her, and later Russian. A brilliantly absurd comedy which I highly recommend, if you haven't already seen it.
Tom hiddleston is a great actor the way he talks to the interviews his acting in no matter what movie for instance the night manager it makes you think and know that the way he acted as a spy well not so much a spy but when the woman in the begining of the show she shows him papers that she does not want she asks for him to do print 1 copy of the papers and when he reads my god! he is at a gast and shows mrs Angela burr and says this is horrible so pls take care of this and the woman back in Cairo he ends up helping miss akala and takes her to where he stays then makes love to her and he is not like oh I want but he care for her and then Hamid ends up killing her so yes he should act as a spy working for the government or working for a man or woman who need help not a spy but helping them and in a fantastic way
I don’t understand how Pine can be so well spoken but yet people would believe that he would go and sell drugs and act so brutally in South of England! It’s so out of character? Where’s the rationale in Pine to do that for Rupert to buy the story? Then he turns back into a well-behaved gentleman. British street level criminals don’t act and talk like that?
They did come together in 1962 so the upcoming Godzilla versus Kong better be just as good. People wonder why I think Deadline is a joke. They dont do fact cheecks

If tom is a professor, i will definitely attended his class what ever the major he's teaching...just to see him and hear his soothig voice 😍😍😍
He answers every question with consciousness, and with very careful thoughts. He carefully chooses the words and form every sentence as if he is writing a poem. This is wise and beautiful and academic.

24:10: "You have a duty, when you're dealing with a piece of History, to be accurate"
It's sure: I love this guy!
So glad Dominic mentioned "I Saw the Light," because it was overlooked and misunderstood when it came out. Tom gave one of the great performances in this or any year and "I Saw the Light" is 100% worth seeing for Tom's performance as Hank.

Rangers Fan Jill i agree. The critics loved his performance but thought the film dragged. The performance deserved an Oscar.
I agree that "Hank" was overlooked! It was a profound performance that needs closer examination by critics. Tom's work was beautifully done!! Admirable!! Beautiful film with tears and sadness at the end!
Lilo Emyoung -well said, girl!!
No doubt, Tom is one of the most talented actors and every film he did or took part is worth seeing. This man really gave his heart to all of his work.

Cannot watch it enough!
I love Tom no matter what.

Great interview, but I wish the interviewer didn't interrupt Tom as much as he did. Tom offers great answers, I'd like to hear them.
I agree.. but at the same time, Tom is known for going on tangents in interviews and quoting a lot of referential material
Taking into the fact that the interviewer is American and Tom’s tendency to tangent around, he’s doing his best
The Night Manager is such an amazingly written show, well directed, cinematic are amazing, flow of story is amazing. Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor, has such depth and intelligence of creating and bringing stories/characters to life that make it inspiring to watch film and tv.
I love listening to this man...intelligent and versatile! Great combination of an actor but is really rare😆😆😆.
Great interview. It’s refreshing when an interviewer doesn’t rehash the same questions over and over to the point that the actor gets bored. I love Tom Hiddleston interviews! Please someone out there, make him the next Bond! In the mean time can't wait for the next Thor movie and Skull island!

Totally agree he would make a perfect Bond why can’t they see what we see
Tom is KING!
Love Tom Hiddleston 🌹🌹🌹
Great actor, great series, great interview, great suit! Thank you for posting this, Sag-Aftra and thank you for taking the time, Tom. Good luck for Emmy night.

Great interview! Love the brisk pace, the intelligent questions and Tom's generous, articulate, and thoughtful responses.
Was going to comment literally the same thing. :-)
Wonderful interview. Always love hearing Tom speak
I love this guy!! I could listen to him forever.
I really enjoyed the conversation. Dominic Patten is such a pro interviewer. excellent job! And Mr. Hiddleston is incredibly perfect.

"I was standing right over there, Dominic..." HAHAHAHAH.
I’m impressed by the quality f that interview, the questions. Tom Hiddleston is always so interesting when he talked about acting.
Probably the best interview I've watched.
Thank you very much for sharing
I’m so happy he FINALLY got a show💕 He makes me look forward to watching new movies/shows again!!
And, you do have a gentle soul, so please go forth well armed.
Good interview as always.. looking forward to Tom Hiddleston next project 😃😘
Amazing interview, as always! Such great questions and in depth answers. Thank you!

2:17 Tom finally on the stage.
Here's to secretive, brooding Jonathan Pine.
No question about it: great actor, great intelligence, kind.
I think he missed out on being a true teenager; socially he needs some growth.
Love him anyway though.
here’s what you came for and you’re welcome :) - 20:11
Yup! Did you get my memo that Hank Williams chose you because of your gentle, open soul.?
hermosooo Tom
아니..검은색 정장이 이렇게 잘 어울리는데 어쩜 이렇게 안 입어주시지ㅜㅡㅜ 멋있음
Tom is highly intelligent, erudite and charming. I just wish the interviewer would shut up.
tom is so intelligent
Good interview as always. But holy moly, that interviewer kept interrupting Tom! Went all Kanye West on his ass at times. Let the talent speak!
If oscar Wilde was alive ... this would be his voice and personality
Team loki
The logophiliac's dream.
What exactly is a logophiliac, please (not a native speaker of English, sorry)? Someone who appreciates nice, eloquent speech, who is interested in language in general?
There's no need to be sorry. Your English is excellent. It is a person who is sexually excited by words.

Haha, thanks!
Tom epitomizes the sexy intellectual; he is simply brilliant.

To hire me or not to hire me :D :D :D :D
why is he putting on an english accent? he's from LA
Do you know who you are...

King kong is seperate from Godzilla
They did come together in 1962 so the upcoming Godzilla versus Kong better be just as good.
People wonder why I think Deadline is a joke. They dont do fact cheecks
