Oof that makes my heart hurt. Every summer of my childhood was spent in Glastonbury where my grandparents lived, & Shady Glen was always at the top of the list of places to eat! Great memories 😢😔
@@PilotHardy Wow. How interesting. I spent alot of time in Glastonbury where my job was located on Main Street. I could make it to the original Shady Glen and back on my lunch break, and did I EVER take advantage of this. (At least 3 times a week!) Bernice was still living back then and would sometimes come into that Shady Glen. Her husband John, managed the Parkade branch. It was "nice enough" there I suppose, but there was nothing like the original right on the boarder of Manchester next to the town of Bolton.
Good job! Keep up the good work.
Too bad. Parkade Shady Glen is closed forever now. :-(
