You guys are such nice people. It will be a lot of work. Based on what I have seen you paid more than a lot of dealers would have. And some people might say that maybe you were a bit enthusiastic in front of the seller. But you should do you. That’s who you are. This seller will definitely call you again. Also bags and boards will cost u some more. But I think you did fine. And the seller threw in those extra cards. Yes you did fine. And did I mention what nice people you are. Very fun video. Liked the 🐶 too!!!
For a buck apiece you're not getting a deal, you're getting a steal! You're also cherry picking the ones you want to buy, so you're also picking the ones you know will sell fairly easily at a significant profit. Of course, you'll need to re-bag & board them, but the expense & time is more than worth it. Clearly the original seller simply didn't want to bother with haggling over the value of the books & just wanted to clear space. There're other possible reasons why someone would let those books go super cheap, which isn't always the reason given.
A buck a book. I would've left there with 3 long boxes... Great deal. Id love to find spots like this. 😀
The INCREDIBLE HULK IS My favorite and I'm just liking the dear devil it might be that the covers are cool I was thinking of getting flash but you tell me if that is just a waste of money 💰 and I won't buy it and the same foe DD I own alot of the Spawn comic I have a wolverine with him on the front I just moved back so I don't know if is both himband the incredible hulk are just wolverine and todd signed it by the spin on the front and I would like to buy the batman &joker killer Duo it's a 7 mini series.
Man I hope to one day find people willing to sell me a bunch of books for $1 each. However when you buy that much I think maybe paying a tad less would be smarter.. it’s going to be a lot of work to re bag and board them let alone sell each what individually.

It honestly depends on the books. If they can sell for more than the costs.
I probably wouldn't have paid more than 400$. The keys were minor keys and were few and far between, most everything I saw was filler issues. To bag and board everything and the time it'll take to piece everything out or create lots to sell paying a dollar a comic imo is just too much. Nice little collection but probably should have been around 30-40 cents a book
The initial commenters talking like these books had a lot of filler issues don't know what they're talking about. Almost all of what I see here are titles that will move easily! If the bulk of them are in at least Very Fine condition, I can see making a minimum of triple your investment. It's a given that selling comics is time consuming, but for many of us it's not work we dislike.

$1 a book is not a bad deal, especially if you can flip them fairly fast. A lot of smaller keys there that can be moved fast and that hulk 156 is the1st appearance of Krylar and the one before it was the 1st appearance of the Shaper of Worlds.
At 5:35 I was going to ask but it slipped my mind but what number is that spider man where they are getting married or just did I have the one the has your wife's t-shirt logo on /in the back round of Spiderman mask I think 🤔 and what is the number of the dear devil comic book where he is holding/aiming the gun at someone 🤔

I am super jealous! Fantastic comics for a dollar each! Yes there’s going to be some nonessential comics mixed on the bunch but they all seemed well taken care of! You should do well selling them! Love those ASM, Venom, Hulk, Spawn and others you now have!
Additionally, there always people selling junk books, but from what I see in this collection you'll be able to get a bare minimum of $3 to $4 for the least valuable & $6+ for any of the rest, not counting the keys/minor keys you have here that may fetch you a premium.
Any Spider-Man books. Especially ASMs move quick. I'd say you'll at the very least triple your money. There's a lot of work though but that's why he sold it at $1 a book.
Yeah, that is a large number of keys to find in the wild, as they say.
Have you ever got a Spawn#61 from a collection or hunt? I thought I saw a vid where you got one?
I have only ever found it one time when I purchased a complete run 1-130
Spawn 30-77 run had over 120000 to 89000 run in print after the 80 it started to get less

From a business aspect, I would have gone lower then that. Maybe .60 a book. You may be holding some of them longer then you want to.
That's way more generous than my number. I was thinking .20 per book.
@@thetoyboxthetoybox8305 i was gonna say .40 and then work way up to .60 but with them having whatnot and comics usually start at 1.00 wasn't super bad.
I don't understand flipping🤔 If you're liquidating a personal collection maybe someone is willing to take whatever to exit the hobby and you come out with the W, but if you're taking big lots from a retailer wouldn't you pay a higher price to help them out? Especially if you know them personally, have a vested interest in the business and enjoy keeping the hobby at a certain threshold? Plus if you devalue the books enough pretty soon they become kindling 🔥🤯😵💫🤷♂️🤦♂️

$1 a book should have been the individual book price, not the bulk price. you guys got hosed.
Yeah, that's a pretty steep price for the amount of work that they're going to have to put into selling that many books. The bags and boards alone are going to hurt their investment, both in time and cost. If they were buying for their own collection, yes, a dollar a book is a great deal all day!
At the beginning of the video, the guy offered if they wanted to buy a large amount they can talk about a deal… so… no they didn’t get hosed.
@@thetoyboxthetoybox8305 . While I do agree with you on the business sense, It’s tough to talk that way and then turnaround and sell it for 3 or more times the price. There’s literally people throwing Spider-Man collections like this in the trash because people offer them 67 cents a book. Also, what incentives is there for the seller in wholesaling them out until the rest of the public has had a chance rummage through them and he’s just dumping the rest. That would also be bad business sense. Honestly, I can see why people hate flippers with the attitude of low balling like that.
I guess they could have just picked all the micro keys out and left the others behind at the full asking, but maybe they wanted to have a more robust inventory.
They did fine at $1 each IMO , they can sell or keep in their pc 😊
