  • KitchenAid KSB560 blender pitcher blade assembly disassembly. The drive knob unscrews clockwise. The knurls on the drive knob are tough, and stood up to heavy clamping pressure from vice grips. You'd need to lock the blades in place inside the jar very firmly. I thought the drive knob was pressed on, and broke my pitcher trying to find that out, but it definitely will unscrew by turning clockwise.

Well I was able to get the blades off thanks to your video, but the plastic nuts on top and bottom are super tight.
    Thanks for helping everyone out.

FYI... I was able to get a 7/8 socket on the drive knob and hold the blade with another tool, loosened up easily. Thank you for your video, it helped alot.

Im struggling with this myself at the moment. The teeth on the couplers (both sides) wore out and I just cant seem to get the old coupler off of the pitcher side. Im marring the hell out of the blades trying to keep them immobile and keep slipping off of the coupler while trying to turn it clockwise. I'm going to end up needing new blades if I can even manage to get the coupler off. What a pain in the ass!

Yeah, that sucks. I think I would fill the pitcher with small rocks or something to immobilize the blades, then a good strong pair of vice grips on the coupler and turn righty-loosey. Since I destroyed my pitcher we ended up getting a vita mix from Costco. They seem to understand how to make something that is user serviceable.

I hope you can fix it! I couldn't find that info anywhere.... It'll be tricky to hold the blades in place while still in the pitcher. 😆
