My son and I went out kayak fishing for the first time today. Our local kayak fishing club ran an event where they supplied all the gear and guided us out. Only got about an hour on the water. I didn't catch anything but my son got a Trev. Unfortunately it was just a couple cm undersized so he had to throw it back. But we're getting our own get set up and will be out on the water again very soon. :D
pretty cool how ur kayak club provided u with the gears. great work to ur son on landing a trev. those r my favourite fish to land. hope ur next session will b better because u cannot beat kayak fishing haha
@@BasicFishingNZ we have a basic kayak that needs patching up before we can get it set up for fishing, but we're also looking at a fishing kayak today which we may buy. So the two of us will be able to go out together anytime we want... will need new rods though. lol
