You had me right up until you diagonal screwed the leg assembly to the top. Use pegs there and you avoid that clumsy connection. Well done otherwise and looks great if people dont look too close to the join.
I loved a lot of the work, but it's obvious that you are pushing out furniture that will only last a few years and then need to be thrown away. Not spreading out the glue for instance means you will have thick and thin spots, meaning a bad join. Instead of an interlocking wood mortise and tenon join that you pin in place, you just screwed the leg tops together. Since you already have demonstrated you can do this type of work, it's reasonable to believe that you could have easily done a much better join. The only real issue is that you would need to put on some clamping cauls to help you get the clamping done right, but that should have been very doable. Then the that last bit where you just screwed the base onto the top slapdash style takes the project form a work of art, to one that makes me sad for the tree that you used to build it. The thing is, the little touches that would have turned this from what it ultimately was into a masterpiece, would not have taken all that much more time. It showed in the very instant you flipped the table over...and it rocked back and forth on it's base because it was uneven. Take the few extra minutes to do it right and you would have a product that would sell for a lot more because of the much higher build quality.
I must say this person has NO IDEA ON HOW TO RUN A BAND SAW! The guide should be down almost on top of the cutting area to keep the blade from braking.
