Interesting. I first thought I got this, but this video taught me ... well ... I made two mistakes. Disassembled and assembled it and now it even looks better than my attempt. Me quito el sombrero :]
It's about 2 feet by 2 feet base including the arms at the elbows, and about 5 feet tall since it's seated but total height would depend on horns, maedate crest, etc
This one came with the box. With the kachi class suits, the box is extra cost. With the gashira and taisho class, it usually comes with it. When you customize your suit, you can see it in the options for upgrades, mon (logo) design too.
I took a couple years of karate and got 4 medals and have done western sword fighting for 9 years (with 2 medals in armor). As far as "real samurai", they were abolished around 1870 and don't exist any more. It's the name of my channel because I have a lot of interest in them. I want to do some formal katana classes after COVID is over and I can find a school.
Armor purchased from Iron Mountain Armory. If you are shopping with them, tell them Samurai James sent you!
I love the color palette you've chosen for your armor!
Thank you, I spent months debating between a few options. Very happy with how this one turned out.

Glad it helped!
Well made. Very well detailed and explained. Thank you for posting this great video!
Thank you! It is a pleasure to display such fine armor.
thank you so much for taking my request this is awesome. looking forward to more videos on the armor.
You're welcome and there are definitely more videos of it in the future.
i am often looking at this exact armor on the samurai armor fb page XD this is a great armor, amazing video thank you james !
You're welcome. I am very happy with mine. So many color customizations available.
Great armor and color. Can you tell me the dimensions (width and depth) that an average samurai armor display utilizes in this fashion?
Thank you. Sure, it's roughly 26" wide and 24" deep for the box and the armor on the stand.
@@SamuraiJames thank you! Keep up the great RUclips'ing!
Weird question but would you do a video on putting the armour back into the box? I'm really struggling rn. I just can't fit the kabuto back in 😅
Sure thing, will try to do it in a few days. Haven't done a video this week and that should be fairly quick. Thanks for the idea!
Set to release at 11:45am EST tomorrow (6/24)
wow i like it
Thank you
Just curious, how much space (height, width, depth) does your armor take up when being displayed like in the video?
It's about 2 feet by 2 feet base including the arms at the elbows, and about 5 feet tall since it's seated but total height would depend on horns, maedate crest, etc
@@SamuraiJames oh that's not bad at all :D thank you!
Very reasonable, it's roughly person sized haha. You're welcome!
Olá quando vc comprou já veio a caixa ou precisou comprar separada

Is this the stand that comes with the armour or is it the $1500 option
This stand comes with the armor.

Is he a real samurai or is he one of those guys that just own this stuff because I am being trained with a katana

How much are they
The armor? Depends who you buy it from and what kind you want.
