I-90 American Freedom Convoy, supporters make stop near Medical Lake

- What's being called the I-90 American Freedom Convoy passed through the Inland Northwest on Tuesday.
Truckers and people who wanted to show them their support crowded a parking lot near the Medical Lake exit. It was just one stop on their week-long journey to Washington D.C.
The people who met up Tuesday said they're not just out to support the Canadian convoy. They said by showing up, they're ensuring their own medical freedom is protected.
One of the women driving through, Angela Cole, said she's fighting for the future of the country.
"Really what it is, is not just about the vaccine mandate, it's not just about masks, it's not - it's about where the power lies," Cole said. "I am an American patriot and I believe that if I don't fight for our children's future now, then it might not be what I want it to be in the future for them, so I'm fighting for my children personally and I'm fighting for America."
The organizer of the convoy, Erin Kranz, said it's about medical freedom.
"We're here to support these truckers who are standing up for our constitutional rights that are being stripped away from us," Kranz said.
The US does not have a federal mandate requiring truckers to be vaccinated. However, Canada does. Truck drivers can't cross the border without proof of vaccination.
Carol Clouse said she doesn't want to see that happen here.
"It's just something we feel strongly about that it's ending for few, but who's to say a few weeks down the road, another variant doesn't come along that they're going to put the mandates back on us," Clouse said.
Clouse said she's fighting for everyone's freedom.
"We are all Americans, and there are certain rights and freedoms that we have that we want to keep. And bit by bit the government tries to take them away, and we want to prevent that," Clouse said.
The convoy will be staying in the area overnight. It'll start its next leg of the journey to Missoula, Montana, at 8:30 in the morning.

@@tommiesmith3191 the people of Ukraine (some of them) have been using ethnic Russians as target practice for 8 years now. those eastern lands were given to ukraine by Lenin in 1922 and had Russians living on them. Crimea was given away by another Russian leader in 1954. Ukrainian nationalists (some all them Nazis which is just another way to say nationalist) killed Russians in Odessa in 2014, I think. It has been an ethnic battle for years. Those lands were Russian for over 200 years

What exactly is going to happen when all these trucks converge on DC. The Canadians had somewhat of an element of suprise on their side, the American truckers will have no such advantage. I support them and I want them to hopefully be larger than the Canadians were. This is going to be very interesting. Arent 3 waves of convoys supposed to get to DC at roughly the same time?
They're quite unorganized so nobody really knows. I don't even think they have as many supporters in the usa as they did in Canada and that's not that many at all.

Father, we thank You for the freedoms we enjoy in America. As some in our government have tried to encroach on these freedoms we appeal to You for help. As thousands let their voices be heard this week we pray for their safety and protection. In the name of Jesus, we bind spirits of violence, anger, and chaos. We ask for Your shalom to hover over them and their gatherings. May they, as well as those who oppose them, be controlled by love.
We pray for the police who will be called upon to ensure peace and safety. Protect them, and give their leaders wisdom. Please override any attempt to stir up violence against them, and keep them from overreacting to any situation that arises.
We pray for clarity of message, and for truth to be exalted. We ask that the liberal media and politicians not be able to distort the message of the protestors. And we ask You to cause the unfair and unreasonable mandates of our government to stop. We ask that foolish, even evil, decisions by our government surrounding the Covid issue stop. Some decisions have been made because of mammon, political gain, and evil ideologies. Lives have been lost, livelihoods have as well, our children have and continue to suffer, and further division has come to our nation because of this evil. Please help us end it.
