Buddy always kept on the side of tasteful, he never overplayed even though he certainly could have. Buddy will own the benchmark on Pedal steel guitar forever.
One of the things about Buddy Emmons which impressed me was his humble attitude, going on tour with Roger Miller as his BASSIST! There will never be another steel picker like him.
I was here on this day when he played this beautiful tune! You can hear that great tone from those hands and the touch is like no other. Live on Big E!
Here is talent at its best.A true master of the pedal steel.Like Liberace there will probably never be another Buddy Emmons.Gregg Lewis Summerfield,Fl.
While I sincerely appreciate the capturing and sharing of this steel guitar work-of-art, it is ironic that every physical aspect of Buddy's playing is missed. We can't see either of his hands, or his foot or knee pedal action. The video was shot from the worst possible angle. I am, however, thankful for the recording of this amazing playing; so for that, 👍👍👍.

A true gift to a man deserving of it. Impeccable taste and a beautiful arrangement

This is one of my all time favorites. Buddy and his steel guitar at their finest. Just lovely.
that's so well done and it makes me so sad he is gone .he knew how to feel each note and phrase.

this is as good as anyone can ask for on C6 pedal steel. Buddy was amazing
Pure 100% taste , Buddy will own the benchmark forever.
Oh Yeah , Beautiful !!
He played and recorded this at the the 1977 ISGC in St. Louis. Miss the Master. It’s a world without Do Watson and Emmons. A little sadder.
Beautiful.
Buddy was so smooth,
I was there with my friends, sitting on the floor in front of BE. I'm not sure if BE ever recorded this song.
Ted, it was on the live '79 album
Fantastic memory to play a beautiful number

Sounds like he’s playing C6 … Isn’t the original buddy version in E9?
Beautiful.
