Wow. What a change, but the beauty of the landscape and the mountains will always remain. I was doing this trek in 1991 together with a friend, and we had to walk all the way from Besi Sahar to poon hill and beyond. No road, mostly no electricity. On Thorung La we met 2 people walking with us. Nobody else, I can still feel the silence. I would love to return, but my hikes are a lot smaller now 😊. Yeah, lot of changed and if you wish to drive by Jeep you can drive all the way to Manang or Khangsar nowadays and the other side of Thorongla Pass from Muktinath you can go directly by bus to Pokhara, You could do Thorongla Pass trekking via Tilichu Lake within 2 weeks now, If you ever make a trip plan to Nepal for the Himalayas adventure kindly remember us for the best deal thank you,
