That enemy status doesn't last, as much to their best friends dismay they begin to date Neville Longbottom. He's the only one in their house who doesn't hold their Slytherin ties against them. The relationship does not last, as while they get along they are simply not compatible. Neville does introduce them to Luna Lovegood though, and the two hit it off right away. Child of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, it was a shock and embarrassment when they were sorted into Gryffindor. Even though family life was rough, their first friend Fred was one of the few in Gryffindor tower who welcomed them with open arms.
Overtime being an outcast in their house weighs on them, but they are able to bond with Blaise Zabini, who feels the same in his own house. Plus, he thinks their brother is a twit and wants to annoy him. What better way than hanging around his disgraced sibling?
Now hanging around Blaise and the Slytherin's leave a bad taste in the twins mouth, and Fred and then end up enemies for a time.
That enemy status doesn't last, as much to their best friends dismay they begin to date Neville Longbottom. He's the only one in their house who doesn't hold their Slytherin ties against them.
The relationship does not last, as while they get along they are simply not compatible. Neville does introduce them to Luna Lovegood though, and the two hit it off right away. Luna is simply so charming and welcoming, plus she's absolutely wild. Even their cat loves her.
