Siti Nurhaliza was in Philippines silibus studies as a model for Asia Singer.
Ku bersuara by erni zakri (she's a vocal coach and does her own arrangements) talks abt violence, rape, abuse and etc towards women, and how they are traumatized by that. There are screams and news audio at the start, talking abt all of terrifying violence, rape, abuse cases in Malaysia. Ku bersuara means "im speaking out". how ppl giving hopes and promises to them, how they risk their life and trusting ppl, and ended up there were lies and bad intentions behind. she tries to bring justice for all victims out there.

Siti is absolutely THE single biggest superstar vocalist of malaysia. Everyone and their grandma knows her and her songs. The reason she's popular in indonesia is because our languages are similar and indonesian artists are popular here in malaysia too.

AJL - Anugerah Juara Lagu is an annual competition where singers, composer, lyricist in Malaysia compete to get the title of the best song, best vocal, best performance. The songs went thru elimination rounds and only the selected top 12 is able to perform live and gain a chance at the title.
Thus the quality of the songs, singers, composers in the final is basically the creme of crop.
The show where ernie zakri & aina abdul in was Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL), started in 1986 where all the songs competing in the final was the best song in that year. Siti nurhaliza first single/debut song even reach the final of the AJL in 1996 and won the competition. She is one of the best singer in Malaysia. Definitely really grateful if you guys reacted to more of siti nurhaliza and other malaysian singer as well.
Siti have done her own concert at Royal Albert Hall London..you should see the concert!!! IT A MUST!!

It's great to hear two artists talk about and appreciate music, dances, vocals and other involved arts in the music entertainment industry. It's especially effective when presented as podcasts like this one, it's amazing. I forgot how it feels like when I was in the music scenes many many years ago. Stay cool and keep appreciating and supporting Malaysian artists and their music too. It gives you the maintained Western style music pieces with some Malaysian twists that are just as diverse as the US music too I think.

Proud Malaysian here. TQ to the both of you for truly covering so many different types of music and singing worldwide. Yes English is a second language in Malaysia. We were colonised by Britain from 1824 until 1957 , now after independence we are part of the Commenwealth but with our own constitutional monarchy as head and a democratic ruling government. I would say that 60 percent of Malaysians speaks English and many are very proficient at it. Keep up the amazing work. Love to you two and stay safe.

The song is in Indonesian language, but it has many similarities with Melayu.. Malaysia first language is Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language)However.English (mixture of British and American, we understand and use both) is very common in Malaysia. You wouldn't believe that in one sentence of our conversation is 50% English and 50% malay words. pretty easy to be understand by foreigner :)

She writes & composes her own songs. She also covers alot of well known singers like Celine Deon & Whitney H. Siti Nurhaliza did a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London. There are many wonderful singers from M’sia- Ziana Zain,Ernie Zakri’s aunt & her uncle Anuar Zain,Syamel her husband also a singer. Jamal Abdillah & Khai Bahar a famous young singer who started his career thru Simule.

Most of Malaysians could understand and speak English because it is a compulsory subject throughout our school years. Since Malaysia is a multi-racial country, those are Chinese and Indian can speak Mandarin (and their dialects) and Tamil too. There also different ethnicities such as Iban, Kadazan etc and they could speak their ethnics' equivalent language as well. So basically, most of Malaysian could speak at least 2 languages: Malay and English, while some coming from different races and ethnicity could speak their so call "mother-tongue" on top of that 2 languages.
