    I saw Primus with Herb a few days before his heart attack. Im a drummer and huge Tim Alexander and Danny Carey fan. I'm impressed with Carey's performance!! He stayed in the pocket and stayed away from a lot of the little "extras" Herb throws in, but thats a great lesson for drummers to learn from. Stay in the pocket and keep a great groove!! He learned 16 songs in one day and did a great job filling in. I def prefer Herb with Primus, but Carey is still a god and I'm stoked that this happened!!! Thank YOU for posting!!!

      lol you got it fucked up, you see, danny carey invokes spirits before he performs. on the drums, he isn't even entirely human, these are his own words, and you can verify this with the names of the spirits on his drum set, the enochian magic boards he uses at every concert, and the set up of his drum set (they are set up to resemble the new Jerusalem) coupled with the rituals he does before each performance. as you probably already know, DC is heavily involved with the occult. The occult is part of the reason why he was literally perfect on the drums in his earlier years. The DC of the 90's wasn't only the greatest drummer of all time, but possibly the greatest musician in history...

    • @Qliphirot
      @Qliphirot 9 лет назад +8

      +rastabg23 Why the DC of 00's is not the best too? I mean, AEnima is my favorite album of all time but his work on Lateralus and 10,000 days is more incredible than the 90's albums.

    The reason why Danny's playing with them is cuz this is when Tim had his first heart attack that's why they're showing Tim's faces in the astronaut masks. they kind of dedicated this show to him cuz I remember the last remaining shows on the west coast they had Danny play because Tim had a heart attack and Tim actually had another heart attack in 2016 I think about six months to a year before they started the chocolate factory tour. but he had some kind of procedure done that corrected all this and he's been good ever since is Tim was amazing on the chocolate factory tour but even better on desaturating seven. My two favorite drummers of all time Tim Alexander and Danny Carey the greatest drummers of the 90s.

      i was kinda shocked to see Ringo in your lineup, but i have to kinda agree. Ringo was a human metronome. his timing was impeccable. his fills, punches and accents were not flashy but ALWAYS RIGHT ON the money to accentuate the music. he played in an era when drummers weren't technical or flashy and didn't stand out much. not considered to be part of the music. just the guy in the background keeping the beat.
      so yeah! I'm gonna have to agree with you. i think Ringo was an EXCELLENT DRUMMER for his time and deserves to be on that list!!

Sorry i digress, thanx 4 this video, and For The person who said cant wait for Tim Alexander to play with tool I'm not trying to b assholic but he already has there called puscifur he was on the first album (holy s#!^ I'm old I just said album). FYI look up tool/primus live and the 92' 93' tour line up was everclear (wtf really, really everclear) opening up for tool/primus and i think don't hold me to it but tool n primus Co headlined the show RUclips has is a night where tool opens 4 primus. Also watch pert, copeland, claypool, carey, jam I'd like to see full clip. Also herb has Jammed with Jerry Cantrell I'm a musician/guitarist the drums are not my thing but any1 that can jam on a piccolo like Tim Alexander and make it sound nasty like that and to lead claypool n lalonde in and out of time signitures. "where b.b. king makes jimi hendrix sound like a hack"? That's blasphemy!! Jimi is a god. I would point out, that at the time B.B. is 42 y/o and been a profesional for close to 20 years, where as Jimi is only 26 y/o and only been a pro for like 4, not to mention that Jimi was notorius for his consumption of booze and any number of drugs before going on stage. so i would imagine that before doing a jam session in a NYC nightclub, he was quite "lit". any who, while we are talking about dream colabo's how bout Jimi, Danny and Les. This was part of the Primus Tool tour in 2016 I'm not too sure if Jay Lane was still the drummer or if it was herb. I saw Primus and Tool both in 2017 in New Orleans on separate tours. I saw Primus in a theater in 2017 for the Chocolate Factory and then 2018 for desaturating seven. But God damn I would have loved to have seen this. But I know in 2016 Primus and Tool played in New Orleans together I'm not too sure if they were on a tour together or not and I don't know if herb orit was Jay Lane playin. reason why I'm saying that cuz there's another RUclips video of Primus and Tool playing together at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans if they toured together I don't recall it the Primus did a tour for Charlie the Chocolate Factory and then the saturated 7 in 2018 and Tool did a tour and they played in New Orleans in 2017 but Primus didn't open up for them. I may be wrong.

    i didn't know that danny played with primus, this is pretty rad. aenema sounds kinda weird with les claypool's wonky slap bass but awesome none the less. i would love to see the whole show.

    Primus would be so much more better if they had more bass.
