Bro at the ending of this, i broke into tears. this series of duels is so.. emotional,
and then heartwarming in a way. which makes it really awesome. all of it is great. i love this episode, its almost like rewatching a favorite cartoon. but even better and more epic.

Great story and Duel!
My advice? Try utilizing the Add blend mode for glowing effects. It works wonders especially when you use radial gradients with it.
Also shake your V-cam a little to make powerful attacks feel more powerful.

This is probably the best Dojo Duel I've seen yet. Episodes 1 and 2 were also great, but I can't overstate how impressed I am with your work in this one. I think the powers and abilities shown so far are super creative, and the themes of bravery and finding the courage to fight even when it seems pointless to do so were superbly conveyed. Axel is a great mentor character in that regard and the dialogue between her and Elenna was quite touching. I also really liked how believable the motivation for the bullies was, and I think it's commendable that you didn't just leave them as plot devices to be used and discarded at will.
As some other commenters have already said, this far outstrips any professional animation from a western studio these days in terms of both story and art direction. If this is your passion, you have an amazing future ahead of you!
Went back to rewatch this to remind myself of the events in the story and one detail stuck out to me. Axel exerted some kind of "aura" at 1:36 which is something we don't see in other episodes. When he said "Leave this place now..." that sentence by itself radiated pure anger. I have a feeling we haven't even seen Axel at his full potential.

When the Necrom theme came on as Elenna started wailing on Ghost (Wait a sec....) my hype bars went into overdrive! That made my day DM5.
Not gonna lie if I was in Elenna's shoes as my opponent possessed the bodies of the bullies that gave my life absolute trauma, I'd just be like "Thanks. You just fueled my catharsis factor."

Technically yes. But the Blackwatch in my universe is different to the one in Hyun's. The same can be said for the rest of Cier.

Hmmmm...hey random question: would Elenna and Axel meet your old character at some point in her story? Maybe be like her mentor in learning how to fight or an actual friend and not a faker like those 3 b***hes before? =v=

Cure Panda I wouldn’t say a meet up with Samantha is impossible, but at the moment there are no plans for it. To answer your question about the duelist cards: No, all of these characters Samantha has access to belong to other animators. Of course, I had to ask permission from their creators in order to use them.

As for the cards, hmmm...I wonder if she can still fight without those cards? Pretty sure with Elenna, her cowardice is her weakness, with or without those weapons she has...but she’s getting there. Though I would imagine her riding on that motorcycle...oh wait nvm ^^;

Ghost didnt took an opportunity to posess Elenna
Lucas Leonardo according to Ghost’s duelist application. He still feels the pain of the person he possesses. So there isn’t really a reason for him to possess her.

DM5Anims so wait...if he possessed her, basically there’s no point? Like say she hasn’t worn that bracelet yet and gets beaten up by those bullies before he took her over, he immediately felt pain from her...to the point that it’s not worth per say, unless he still takes her as a bounty if he knocked her out on the inside. does that makes sense?
Cure Panda I’m not exactly sure about the scenario you’re trying to convey, but all I can say is that Ghost will be feel everything his host feels, so if he were to get knocked out whilst possessing Elenna, both of them would be knocked out.

Sorry, it’s just the takeover part from your opponent made me a bit confused in terms of how it works. So ok, basically speaking, he can still feel pain in spite of being in other people’s bodies? Huh...guess he’s a bit faulty. Normally with ghost characters, they don’t feel pain at all...only the victims they took over after they got out of them ^^;

The storyline is good, because it's just boring without actually getting the point of views of the characters. Including to their specific reactions.

I don't like this.
I appreciate that you want to have a story with your characters, but the execution is really poor with this episode.
I don't really feel Elenna's backstory, being the outcast because she was born with super powers and eyes that signify that... I think it's cliche and it's not well executed. Many people, my self included, are also bullied by their peers, but the reasons are disadvantages and not solely because they are extraordinary chosen ones and all that! Elenna's thing is that... she has beautiful eyes that give her abilities and the bullies beat her and humiliate her because of that (which I think should actually discourage them from bothering her coz... she's one of the people with super powers!) Also she comes off as melodramatic to me, especially near the end of the fight. And she feels pretty cliche overall, like just a chosen one-type hero who finally believes in herself and makes it.
The bullies actually make a kinda decent point about the regular humans in this world being completely neglected coz the end all be all is super powers and the average people are indeed seen as unimportant. This story recognizes that but it goes the opposite way by having the average Jane who makes that point one of the villains! So there is commentary to be done but this sort of demonizes the average Joe/Jane who don't want to be looked down upon in the world this takes place in. What's more, the bullies are supposed to find a easy target they irrationaly hate, not someone they have a reason to be afraid of (since they're average humans and Elenna is your average chosen one in a world full of crazy abilities) Overall this isn't a good depiction of bullying!
The dialogue is pretty bad. I know it's a common thing in stickmen animations and dialogue is hard to write but this story is supposed to be this deep touching tale of an outcast so strong dialogue is sort of recquired here imo. I haven't seen the newer animations in a while so I don't recall if you have improved but compared to MicroMist's take, this is certainly the worse of the 2 in terms of dialogue (and not only). My main pet peeve is the way Alliah explains why she and her crew are bullying Elenna like the description of a movie (a bully should not speak with such formal language as they are beating someone to a pulp lol). It's just not natural. As for the ending, Elenna and Axel's dialogue was not touching, it just felt like a child talking to a superhero (coz that's what Axel is) and I don't like the "stop apologizing" sentence... idk it just feels off to me. The rest is fine, those are my main problems.
Regarding the fight... it drags and I don't like that Ghost pulls his punches. He has a bunch of chances to just slash and stab Elenna but he takes his time... a lot! I like the parts where he fights Axel, and it's good to see Elenna fight too coz I don't like passive protagonists tbh, but this feels like it could have been better.
I am sorry that my work did not appeal to you, but I appreciate you putting in the time and effort to give me your critiques. Hopefully my work in the future will improve on these aspects and meet your expectations!
