    This is excellent. However I now wish to see these features built into SketchUp in order to be able to stay level with the competition.

      It would be nice to see something like that happen for sure. I'd settle for some tools that can thicken curved faces and work with vertices a bit better

    MUY COSTOSO, RECOMIENDO QUE HAGAN SU MODELO GEOMETRICO COMPLEJO EN BLENDER Y QUE LO PASEN A SKETCHUP

    WHy they have to do it License based. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. greedy people.. just sell it. 100 bucks I would buy it. but they want 100 every year... WHYYY people love to lose clients like that

      I agree. Another option that would helo is:
      When renewing your sketchup licence, an option to add different extensions (those that make paying for Sketchup worth it) at a reasonable price would make life easier. The extension creators and Sketchup should come to such an arrangement. Every transaction, especially for our international users (bank fees, taxes etc builds up)

    I purchased Artisan V1, I won't subscribe for $99 per year - dead stop.

      Yeah 100% for something that is common in all poly modelers and free with Blender …
      I get the developer needs money - I blame the maker of SKetchUp for over charging a at this point weak modeling app.
      The only area where SketchUp Is great is having components, the basic UV texturing is very intuitive, and the drafting is well implemented.
      But for all the rest ?

      @johnjlopez Год назад +2

      I dont even see an upgrade path for v1 users. This version is an improvement over V1 but I dont think i can do the subscription noting i just dont do much organic modeling. Its a tool i use only rarely. Hopefully they fixed the algorithms as well like at times i would notice that reducing polygons would introduce holes in the geometry or some other minor quirks existed etc. V1 is decent albeit a bit clunky (or maybe just my skill at using it is) so in that, maybe this has some potential if one really needs it. Overall, im a fan of mindsights plugins and the public should check all the ones they have. I highly recommend profile builder as an example.

      @@cekuhnen Sketchup is paid software and blender is free , just compare , there is no comparation, sketchup developers su*k

    • @cekuhnen
      @cekuhnen Год назад +1

      @@salimsawandi9829 sketchUp has a specific market segment they cater to without real completion.
      AutoCAD is way to outdated for 3D modeling. For cad quality I would rather use shapr3D which is like sketchUp ease of use but real cad.
      Blender also caters to a much larger market. Look at how silly in 2023 sketchUp animation still is.
      But most interior design staging folks don’t need more.
      So sketchUp does not need to innovate as long as the market does not adapt a new software.
      Basic flat surface uv unwrapping and material scale in sketchUp is also perfect best in class.
      I see it each semester with my students better tools they don’t want to learn - they just want sketchUp because for basic work it is easier - for more complex it is worse so they never do that work too.

    I can't believe that are charging $299 a year and users have to rely on third-party organic tools, can Google really not afford to hire someone to make organic tools native to the program?
    I mean seriously, if they actually tried they could become better than Blender and Shapr3d. I don't know why companies with unlimited budgets do the thing they do.
