Heading to Cartagena in January . The mud volcano is already on my list and after seeing the beauty in the Tayrona National Park , I must see it as well . Great video , thank you .
We'll be there in a cruise 6:30am-1:30pm. Planning on cabbing to Old Town and walking to Getsemani plus watching all the animals in Eco Park by the port. Does this seem doable with our limited time? Great video!
@brownboytravels The animals are literally in the port by the ships and free and you walk through coming and going...but if you had to chose Old Town or the other which would you choose
@TravelingStageManager is recommend the old town over Getsemani because there will be more places open during your visit hours and it is also much closer, there’s also quite a lot to see and do
I definitely think it is, it is a very touristy area and there are a lot of people there especially in the evenings. Be careful with the pickpockets, I think the rest is pretty safe
@sharkyjena ah there are a lot. I’d recommend getting to Getsemani and you’ll see the main square full of people. From there make your decision. I quite enjoyed eating around the locals places, most were good
Cartagena is pretty overrated, very expensive, so many better places in Colombia. Many of the photo ops you showed are tip driven, and not the most authentic. I did love the park in Getsamani where the sloths are (and Getsamani is so better than the old town in our opinion)! We were here 3 days…2 would have been enough! We did Tayrona for 4 days…wish we did 5+!!
I don’t think it is overrated, it has a unique culture found nowhere else in Colombia but we all process things separately. I loved Tayrona and Cartagena both
@@brownboytravels I’d take Salento, Tayrona, Jardín, Palomino, etc over Cartagena. We are not big party people, so after 2 days, we were so done with the place. Like I said, I think Colombia has so much better to offer.

I learned to say “ no gracious” on my own in Cartagena last year!!! Had a good time there!!
Such a nice little trick no?
Local tip: You don’t have to say no, you can just say Gracias like the locals do
I’m flying back tonight! Can’t wait to experience more of the city and grow my RUclips channel at the same time 😁

Honestly you’ll be running around the whole time and not appreciate the place, I’d recommend skipping the animals or one of the 2 other spots

It looks like VIGAN CITY in the Philippines. A preserved spanish colonial buildings. 😯
Interesting! I didn’t know about Vigan
So many colours!! wow

Is Getsemani safe as a female solo traveler to go to dinner & drinks around 8-9pm? How about staying in an air bnb there ?
I definitely think it is, it is a very touristy area and there are a lot of people there especially in the evenings.
Be careful with the pickpockets, I think the rest is pretty safe
What was the name of the national park you mentioned at the end of your video?
Tayrona National Park - the video is up and you can watch it using the link below

I’m going there solo next month. 40 year old Irishman. Can speak fluent Spanish. Any recommendations? 😁
There’s plenty in the video, what are you asking recommendation for?
@@brownboytravels Any particular bars or good restaurants I guess. I’m staying in an Airbnb close to the airport

Sorry about your wallet. I got my phone stolen in Athens as I was flying my drone. Glad you kept going.
Thank you, these things do happen, I wasn’t going to let it ruin the incredible experience
Is it easy to get a taxi at sunset outside of cafe Del Mar?
I think so but you can walk a short distance to the harbour and grab one from there
Hey I’m a Muslim I was wondering if there’s a Muslim community in South America and if there’s any halal food spot or halal friendly
I am not sure honestly, in bigger cities may be but I don’t know if smaller cities have halal friendly places
