Hi Everyone, Thanks for watching. if there is any items on any Dacia or Renault that you would like to know how to use comment and ill get a video up on the subject. Please like the video and subscribe as this will help the channel grow and more videos to be made.
First and foremost thank you for your videos, very informative I recently got a 2024 model that has a foot on brake push start ignition system If for any reason (I don't intend to) the battery dies can you bump start the car?
Had my dacia one week and it's a great car so far,one minor problem, it needed a system reboot for some reason and has lost its beep beep when I walk away, can't find anything in the settings to get it back??
Nice explanation! I knew there was a key inside the hands free card to unlock the car in case it was needed, but had never seen the how to access the key hole for it. Could you do one also about the electric parking brake?
mine suddenly failed yesterday!! was in the pouring rain, fob was totally unresponsive! couldnt get the cover of at all with the key/blade! was absolutly drenched! finally about to give up, tried the door 1 last time and it opened! had no warning re the battery, and the fobs worked since!! ive ordered new batterys anyway. i was far from home too, soaked through, was one of the most stressful days ever! actually watched this vid to fid out how to get the fob cover off, which wasnt the easiest either tbh, but still cant get the key hole cover off! yours looks so easy!! why couldnt they just have a key slot incase , my van does on driver side! now im full of dread of this happening again, i have no idea why it failed and why it now works again!? classic battery signs, but no warnings ? hope the new batteries arrive b4 i use the car again next weekend! just hope its a 1 off , cars not quite 6months old yet, done just over 1k miles! modern cars are a massive step back imo!
I completely agree. When i ordered a new Sandero Stepway, I made a point of asking for a 'proper' key, and a real handbrake lever. The driving 'aids' I was stuck with have been disabled by me as far as possible.
@@peterking2794 15 months of ownership now, car applied the emergency breaks on me for no reason a few weeks back! open road at 40mph! lucky the ice had gone! and no one behind! bloody dangerous! so bno soon as i get in , stopstart OFF , assisted breaking OFF!! goes in on weds for a third software update! lol madness, wont buy a newer car with more so called driver aids! one of the reasons i got the dacia as it has minimal compared to others. is yours a 22/72, mines a 71 , love the car over all, hate the crappy so called mod cons
LOL I am looking at the Sandero as a second car and they made the 2021 model and up pretty modern when it comes to tech. I have not seen the key though for the keyless entry BUT the size of that thing is just comical. We had a Jaguar XF from 2008 with a keyless entry and now we have a Kia e-Niro (again keyless entry) but they have normal sized keys/remotes which you can easily slide into your tiny pocket on Your jeans. This alone requires a whole pocket lol.
what about starting the car? does the key have to be inside the car for it to start or as long as the doors are unlocked all u gotta do is push the start button? cuz if someone could break into the car he might be able to have the eziest engine start in his life
As far as I am aware it can’t be. The specification may be different outside of the uk but it uses the horn function to create the noise so is tied into that.
@@renaultdaciahowitsdone9514 Hi im back xD. I have the New Sandero 3 from june 2021 I had a manufacturer recall. they reprogrammed the car's computer and the song has changed :/ Looks like more Renault Sound than Dacia now
@@renaultdaciahowitsdone9514 yeah, but can you start the car engine if the fob runs out of battery? Is there somewhere inside the car you can use the key to start the engine?
How big would you say the card is, will it fit comfortably in your pocket like a key would? When I test drove a sandero in the show room the key card thing was massive! Can’t carry that around without a bag 🤭😅. Thanks x
Hi James The key itself doesn’t have any where to clip it. What I have done is purchased a key cover which you can find from Dacia or online at eBay or Amazon among others which allow it to clip to keys, added bonus of keeping the keys in great condition.
Instead of moaning about problems, maybe here's a useful question: how does the trunk only button work? Wouldn't it still open the entire car when getting close? What's the use of it anyways if it auto locks & unlocks without pressing anything?
What a palavar. That alone has put me off buying the car. I carry my car key with my house keys in my pocket. I don't need some card that I'm likely to lose and the faff involved if the battery runs out.
The proximity of the keyless has to be very close so boosters find it harder but as with any keys best not left to near the door. Aside from that and in no way degrading the excellence of the Dacia, the people boosting car keys are aiming at much more expensive cars or the risk is not worth it.
You can just buy the version without keyless entry, or if you bought the car already I think you can go on The media display at Setting and disable from there
Yes and no. For entering the car via the doors, yes. For accessing the boot, no. If you approach the boot with the key it'll always unlock automatically, even if keyless is turned off. Quite annoying as I reverse onto my driveway and often walk past the back of the car - which keeps locking and unlocking automatically (and beeping)

Please note that with the keyless card, when the battery starts to run out you will get a notification on the dashboard and info screen.

If the battery is dead and you need to use the emergency key to unlock the car, are you still able to drive the car once inside?

The sound when the véhicule Close Can be changed ? In the Dacia tutorial isn't the same "song"

If the key fob battery goes flat, presumably the engine won't start even if I can get into the vehicle using the metal key?
You can still start it
By placing the fob on the sensor in the central consol
if you forget to close the widows (any of them) if u walk away, they auto close? thank you!
I dont think so, but it'd be great
They do not. Would be too premium wouldn't it? :)
Do you know how to turn off the beeping when walking away from the car? I find it quite annoying so any tips would be appreciated!
You are very easily annoyed
@@tonyburton5706 such a helpful comment.
@@pennyl_91 always happy to help
If you turn off the beeping then you will not know if the car has locked itself or not.
I went to settings and turned sound off that way, check your manual
Please can you confirm how many key cards you get from the dealer when you buy a new Dacia..thanks.

Can you still start the car if the keyless fob has a flat battery?
Hi
Yes there’s a key inside the fob and you pop a section of the handle off and key slots on there

Hi,
I would say roughly the shape of a standard bank card I keep mine in pocket all the time.
How many keys come with the car?
2
And how will you start the car? when the car only has a start stop button
Apparently it'll work if you put it in the nook on the console.
Can I clip it to my key ring ?

Is there an alarm on this car?
Don't think so
How am I supposed to put that on my key ring?
Sadly it is a flaw in the design however you can purchase key covers from eBay and Amazon which is what I did
Foolproof system, how is it that i regularly find my daughter's Sandero door open ?
Likely she forgot a key inside the car and uses the second one.
It's the exact same one as the Renault kadjar key because Dacia are made by Renault

So the fob has a key inside that you can use should it run out and I put mine in a case that is always on my house keys
