The Thomas Hut up in the Fonteintjiesberg is a wonderful place to visit, but ONLY with prior permission. It is a hike, not really a climb, and a short hike from there to Brandwacht Peak.
I have not been there yet. I have read and heard that it is an awesome place with a lot of early history related to it. It was used as an overnight stay for snow skiers in years gone by . The effort it took to build the hut was interesting in itself. Glad you had the opportunity to visit it Thanks for your comment.
