For gamers playing mostly shooters and e-sports titles AMD gives the most bang for buck. Raw native power is the way to go when playing titles where ms lag count. DLLS/FSR and FG are cool features but in my opinion they're only worth using playing slowpaced games where the responsetime is not so important. I have both AMD and Nvidia gpu's (Red devil 7900xtx, Merc 319 6950xt and Rtx4070) and don't use RT on either of them even in slower games, gotta play the game, no time for pixelpeeping at shadows,lights and reflections..

PLZ STOP USING FSR when ur doing these tests. It makes no sense for u to have a 7900xtx and then turn on fsr. I want to see what the natural frame rate is. I dont wanna see boosted rates due to fsr.
So it isn't worth using any of the tech that newer cards have to offer? Noted, maybe we can start offering benchmarks with upscaling/frame gen on and off to show both results.
@ToastyBros if ur using something like a 3060 or 7600 something lower class I can see using fsr or dlss but when ur paying 500-$1000 for a GPU i don't see the benefit of using fsr or dlss and saying it gets this amount of frames. I'd personally rather see what the card can do on its own. Especially with something like a 7900xtx there's 0 reason to turn on fsr on something like warzone or fornite. I mean I have a 4080 super and the only game I've ever turned on dlss for was Alan wake 2. And I'm running the card at 4k on a 160hz monitor and have never had to use upscaling. It just doesn't make sense to me personally. Let the card stretch its legs and show what it can do on its own. ( sorry for the long winded message )

I don't play Fortnite but downloaded it for a test. I duplicated your Epic settings and averaged 160 to 180 fps using a 4070 Ti super at 1440P , 40 to 60 fps higher than you. My 1660 Ti Super averaged 85+ fps at 1440p. I thinks something may be amiss in that rig.

cards that heavy have a separate board if needed for them that keeps the card in the upright position in their in use position, standing. that case may be weak in the back no screw attachment provided, not sure saw the sag moved on till the end.

I think they should exit the high end market and focus resources on mid-range to high -mid-range. NVIDIA has $800+ Market Locked down for years to come. AMD needs to focus on RT, FSR, Driver Support, and Lower Temps
Amd just got their foot in the door now quits i think the 7900xtx is amazing they juat need to tone it down for the average id say something like a 7900gre should be where the need to aim for High end 1440p and some basic 4k for 500-600 price point and they will beat nvidia
It's nice, looks great etc. I'd never settle for an AMD GPU if I'm spending that much. The 4070 Ti super is nearly as powerful and cost less but when you spending that much. The 4080 Super is a drop in the bucket up-charge. AMD makes nice GPUs but their not as good as Nvidias as they lack many features. Proper Ray tracing is a bonus.
I go with nvidia as I like cranking all the rt and visuals to the maximum. I got the 4080 not long after it came out and definitely made the right choice. Dlss also looks significantly better than fsr.
nurd699 I don't play Fortnite. I downloaded it and duplicated Jacksons settings. I got 40 to 60 more fps at 1440p which would be about 36% to 54% more performance. That shouldn't be the case. I can't explain it other than his rig has an issue, or mine is better optimized for some reason.
8600G looking really good at its current price of $168 The L3 is a drawback if you plan to add a dGPU later, but you shouldn't be doing that anyway. Either commit to the APU route or get a 7500F/7600. The PCIe cutback isn't an issue on Zen4 because you're cutting back fron Gen5 to Gen4, which is more than plenty if you are doing any type of budgeting. Most people are just putting in a gen 4 nvme and every other slot is sitting there not being used or blocked off by a gargantuan GPU anyway.

Utilizing fsr when doing a benchmark really doesn't make sense unless you also do a native run for comparison. The 7900xtx does not need help at 1440

MFG's need to include stabilizers with cards that big. It wouldn't cost them but pennies.
