Im a bit confused, your saying the whole ride looks disappointing yet the only bad thing you had to say was the paint in the first picture looks a bit tacky which would kinda make sense since it's a toy dolls house
The props don’t really look good, and because we’ve only seen a few pics I can’t really judge it but what I was saying is that I’m not getting my hopes up for this ride. I really hope I’m wrong and it’s great. We shall see next week

Yhhhh I've got low expectations, would of preferred a duel updated ride but it looks very cartoony, not a fan but still let's see

Couldn’t agree more, so many people on social media are saying this ride looks amazing. It simply doesn’t. Everything looks cheap, and I’m not even sure this could be classed as a haunted house! Feeling disappointed already!

A BIG mistake by the PR team to release a few static pictures of the scenery. We’ve been anticipating this ride for so long that those few pictures are going to be given huge scrutiny. In reality, you’ll be zipping past these scenes and the ride in operation will have lighting, sound and other effects, so what we’re looking at is the backdrop to the actual ride. I just hope Mr W has put his illusionist skills to the best use, as his original ideas for the haunted house back in 1992 were awesome. Fingers crossed that the new version delivers…
We was surprised that they shown inside the ride, totally agree, it’s a good ride but it’s so not finished, a few more things to put in.
After seeing the photos, most of the positivity is from nostalgia of the Easter eggs of the parks former attractions, a lot of the actual theming seems to be just standard props you could make at home, such as the oversized boxes and the dolls house. IMO they should've just restored it back to the original ride but with a few new scenes and extra effects, having the more sinister but not serious look to it again. Let's hope I'm proven wrong though and the ride will be a banger!

None of the original props apart from the spider were saved and all sent to the skip... the tone is too serious and realistic, making it really hard for younger ones to enjoy, and the ride doesn't have a fun factor to it... the scares get boring really quick after a few rerides, and the charm has all been sucked out of the ride dry... sure, the ride is impressive on the technical side, but it's just but fun, memorable, or charming personally.
I know this is controversial, but this ride feels like it was made by an enthusiasts, made for enthusiasts and enthusiasts only, like a fanfiction. I went on with my family and we all agreed that we preferred Duel, and we never used the guns. We all miss the Charm the OG Haunted House stuff inside duel.
The ideal thing for this ride would've been what Europa Park did to Geisterschloss. Keep most of the original iconic 1982 figures and set pieces, keep the iconic music, remove the lesser iconic scenes, and replace them with newer ones to compliment the original scenes.
Sorry if this seems like a harsh opinion.
It looks great but I completely agree some parts give gangster granny vibes and just not as dark as I wanted but as you said we haven’t riden it so we can’t judge so early
I’m looking forward to riding it but I’m not getting my hopes up being good lol

They mentioned about having never before seen in the UK effects so I’m hoping the released photos don’t do the re-theme justice and the experience is much better in person. I think the paintwork is supposed to be like a big dolls house so it’s painted like a toy. I also get the feeling the marketing team are over-hyping this a bit as well. Hope there’s still some good surprises in store.

The 'cheap and tacky' paintwork in the house is because its a toy house
They need to make it look like a haunted doll house not split to feather cheaply
you gotta give the guys alot of credit though considering they only had 6 months on this

Duel was crap and ruined the ride but it lasted 19 years but that said if they've ruid this then to help with them and I'm sure it will hurt there future endeavors 👍
