Testing is so important!! Any problems identified early can be corrected avoiding accidents. Thanks Tim😀
Awesome catches of the R211s.
Hello vibe!
hi.
How do you catch those trains so many times? It’s like you’re always there when the R211s are testing 😅
As any railfan should know that when you're part of a transit company, you get all the details
@@AaronJrBrundidge
I know this has nothing to do with the R211. Do you know when or if there are 262 will be built . I can’t stand the R62a esp on the 6 line and when will they retire them
He has tradar
@@frankscalera7076 Real soon they will retire the R62AS on the Pelham 6 line. The R62AS would will be un replace by the R142as back on the Pelham 6 line and the R262AS mix equipments The R142as R262as .
@@AaronJrBrundidge Wait dj hammers is part of the mta
Cant wait for these trains to enter service!
I bet either 2023 or 2024, after the pandemic was stalling on us
January 2025
@@kobyschechter8163 I believe that’s when all option order cars are expected to have been delivered.
As to what’s going on in the Subway today, the R211’s need camera’s for conductor’s to prevent them from sticking their head out the window to be assaulted and keep watch of passengers of being dragged if a station is curved as the train leaves the station. They should have an on board monitor.
One thing I do love about the R-211 is it’s Propulsion, it more than anything sounds like a combination of the R-160 SIEMENS and the R-143 propulsion and it’s loud which I also like, NICE!!!!!
It’s Alstom Optonix propulsion.
@@beavermuffin which sounds like a mixture of the two propulsion systems previously mentioned
And also SEPTA's Market Frankford Line Cars.
Then you probably will like the future metro of lines 15/16/17 in Paris, because it sounds like that.

Can’t wait to ride these. Also waiting with great anticipation for the R211Ts. I hope they will be successful; the recent option order includes the R211As.
@Bread And Circuses they haven't even been delivered yet. But I remember that the prototype doesn't have gangways as wide as the mockup.
@Bread And Circuses The R211Ts is already here I'm just letting you know that right now because it had came last night 🌃 from what I saw.
Great job of the R211 train testing
Hopefully the revenue service of the R211 does not get delayed again. I am really looking forward to see and ride them!
They won’t see revenue service until January 2025.
@@kobyschechter8163 2025!!!! 😳
@@joegladstone7739 I read an article on it. And the last of the LIRR M9 fleet won’t be delivered until September 2023. There’s been so much mismanagement at Kawasaki. The workers who build these things are quitting left and right. Covid also has played a role in this. The supply chains got all screwed up.
@@kobyschechter8163 🤯
@@kobyschechter8163 I’m pretty sure this set will enter service earlier. Deliveries begin in 2025. This is sad though, because Kawasaki used to be among the best and now they are screwing up big time.
The Propulsion I Believe is a mix of The R179, R143 and R160. Correct me if I’m wrong
4:25 He got that Fan Railer quality today
cool horn sound i cant not wait to ride them
Sounds like a modernized DC Metro 1000-series train.
Heck yes!
Still got that "New Train Car" smell! 😆
I just realized it looks like it has some kind of smooth braking technology
I wish MBTA gets that kind of train cuz it's well built
What are the plans for entering revenue service?
From what I hear, quarter 1 2023 at the latest.
@@wyattsmith2498 2025*
@@elizabethbobbio2601 All of the R211As R211TS will be here in 2025. Another thing to Nabraska Kawasaki has no issues anymore. However they are definitely gonna to deliver the rest of the R211as one at a time. They definitely have to test them until two or three months.
An A train in brooklyn??! (technically at least for testing) That's something you don't see everyday.
It kind of looks like WMATA’s 7000 Series
I se the similarity.
I swear if the footage around 2:15 was taken yesterday, that'd be crazy cause I was over there.
I love R211 train
Awesome. Hoping to catch one of these soon as the Revenue service testing kicks in
Stay tuned!!
@@DJHammersTrains is the simulation stops testing in progress with the doors 🚪
What a difference between the old and new one side by side.
Not much. It's an update on the R143, nothing really that new. Side windows are smaller and look too small now.
I feel like they been testing for a whole year like way more than they did with the r179
Any idea when these are hitting the track? Sorry, I know that’s probably an old question 😅
The R211 video is ready to go, especially when it is ready for passengers to ride on this or next year. : )
Is there a set time these Trains have to be tested?
Why doesn't New York order pass-through subway cars, without dividing them into separate cars?
They already ordered open gangway cars (R211T).
The prototype arrived recently
It would be great if they had a better PA system. No body understands what they say.
Looking Forward For The R211.
Its seems the r 211's have been testing for ages.. When do more get delivered and put into service?
The r179 took 24 months or longer and the r211 fifteen months,so stop 🛑 complaining about it
From what I can see on Maps, the Kawasaki factories in Lincoln don't have a loop track to test the machines, so the tests have to be done on the MTA network, and that's long.
In the factory, only tests that do not require a fast moving train can be done (there is a track long enough for a test at 30kph but not for a long time).
In Europe Alstom and Siemens main factories have a test loop (usually 2, a large one, and a smaller one to test tight bends). This makes it possible to test the trains in the factory, and in the event of a problem, the factory is right next to it...
In addition there is a large test loop at Velim in the Czech Republic, so large that a village is inside. Most new equipment capable of over 130kph will be tested there.
Me personally I think the propulsion doesn't match the speed well, but it is good propulsion
I enjoyed that video 👍👍
Great work
(: Alvis Wu.
10 cars, 2 cars more than the Standard subway car
Wait are these train cars still separated by doors? I thought the would all be connected with open gangways
The R211T does. It is slightly different than the R211.
1:19 looks the r211 is has been start in a line LOL
LMAO IT SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE THE R143 SIEMENS. GOOD TO SEE THE R211 TESTING ON MY HOME LINE.
I recognised it too, exactly the same sound as our Siemens rolling stock in Oslo, Norway.
Nice
I really don’t understand what’s with some of these comments here, like seriously. Why are you getting triggered over subway car assignments and changing fleet requirements that happen all the time in both Subway and bus side?
When will the R211 be delivered in service
I thought these were supposed to have the open gangway?
The R211T does. It is slightly different than the R211.
So which line will have the open gangway trains?
Staten island Rail way will have the open gangways wich is the R211S . R211TS will be on the A C lines mix equipments R211As R211 TS with open gangways.
What a weird design--so much metal and so few glass...is it supposed to run through a warzone? :D
Ayy 18th Avenue!
I wonder when these new trains come to the A,C,N,Q,W and the SIR lines!
The base order will go to the A, C and SIR. The first option order will go to the C to make the C 100% full length and to the B, D due to 8th Avenue and 6th Avenue CBTC, which will require the A, B, C, D to be 100% NTT's. The NQW trains will get the r68's since Broadway is not getting CBTC anytime soon.
A & C very soon, N,Q, & W not for awhile and the SIRR has their own special R211 order.
@@MrProjectArchfiends exactly the SIR will get the r211S
The NQW will have to wait until the r68's are replaced to become 100% NTTs
@Kevin Xie: The SIR is included in the base order. 460 cars for the A and C, then 75 for the SIR.
Never gonna give you up never gonna let you down never gonna make you cry never gonna say goodbye
R211
Note to the MTA: PUT THESE CARS IN SERVICE ALREADY! ENOUGH TESTING!
Exactly. Don't forget to vote for Cathy hucko On November the 8 please. God bless all of you
Too 18 Av my home stop
Will they be in service before Christmas?
We'll just have to see

@@davidng2336 that’s correct
No open gangways
Imagine if these babies derailed
Now that i think of it mta subways barely derails

“The mta barely derails”
yeah bro you right amtrak be derailing a little too much
What the hell new york? Their aren't even walk through
They're cheaping out, and they probably also want to discourage potheads from roaming around the whole train and begging for spare quarters
The first prototype set of the R211s with open gangways was delivered recently
Dosen't look like open gate way to me.
The R211T does. It is slightly different than the R211.
@@hirampriggott1689 Ah got it.
Same ole damn cars. Still waiting on some new action. 😏
Same mold, yes. The MTA hasn't changed the R143 mold quite yet. Inside, it's similar to an R!43 as well, just with FINDs moved to above the door, a good place to put them, the poles are yellow, the seats are a bit darker. But the format is the same. Don't feel these are anything special but the R46s, which were special when they came out, need to be retired. It's time.
When are these coming into service is the f train getting this or they have enough r160
@Danny I think they’re gonna be put onto the A, C, N, R, and/or W first because the 211 are supposed to replace the R46.
@@patrickfraleyjr2819 The base order is for the A/C and the Staten Island Railway. The 1st option order will likely go to Concourse and Coney Island Yards so that the B and D can be CBTC- compatible.
Right now the focus is on the R46s, in which they need to start pulling away from service. So by now, place those trains on the trains that have the R46s.
The 30 day revenue test is expected to be starting at some point in the Spring. Yes it is taking forever, but if it wasn’t for the effects of the Pandemic, it would have started sooner
The F has enough R160s atm.
No chance there is a surplus of R160’s to cover (E) (F) (R) service so no these cars are not needed on the (F)
R160 Siemens on steroids
