One of the best games ever made
feels like another life, from ages ago. This was my first shooter, was a revelation. Next was americas army multiplayer, i will never forget the first pvp Bridge Crossing and the confusion lol.
Best game played from years and years ago. Kinda reminds you of the Cold War in ways uniforms weapons exactly the same facial features were improving and everything.

I remember the mission when you had to evacuate from Everon, but you never actually made it as all units at the point were all dead no matter what being the only remaing soldier in hostile area
I played a 'pre-alpha' leaked copy of this in high school, circa 2001-ish and despite the bugs and terminator level AI, I've been hooked ever since and play ArmA 3 on the regular.

I love how accurate this game depicts Russians as nation: aggressive, arrogant, unkind and unfriendly. Fits perfectly to doctrine followed by their current leader.

God it looks so bad now but I loved it back in 2001 that and Ghost recon were the two games of the day.
run it with reshade it adds a load of shader effects that arnt native an really makes it look better

i play this all the time(with mods) but even vanilla doesn't look too bad if you hook your laptop to a big tv via a hdmi cable, also if you do this you can run the game at a much higher resolution than your pc would normally be able to handle, try it!!!!!!
Agree, it still gives the same chills when you see a BMP or see a hind above you and all you have is an M-16 with iron sights.

It's just me or most of the cutscene is broken? Characters stood in wrong places, not where camera is looking. The abscence of Seventh. This game was in better shape when its called Operation Flashpoint, not ArmA.
