Russian tank blown up while navigating Ukrainian minefield

  • MOMENT unsuspecting Russian tank navigating a Ukrainian minefield is blown to pieces as soldiers watch on.
The images first show two Russian tanks making their way across a ploughed field.
Although there is a road running parallel just next to them it appears to be blocked by wreckage of an earlier incident and as a result, the tanks head over the field in single file.
Suddenly, the first tank apparently hits a mine, causing a large explosion. The vehicle comes to a stop, with the second tank stopping a safe distance behind it. A third tank can be seen having joined the convoy a short distance behind the second tank.
The footage then cuts to what appears to be a Russian military vehicle having made its way close to where the tank at the head of the convoy blew up, perhaps in a bid to rescue any soldiers still alive inside it.

Has anyone even seriously thought that we, Europeans, are somehow imperceptibly and slowly becoming accomplices in these terrible atrocities of the US Democrats, who are simply tearing Ukraine apart? In the end, after all this is over, the rest of the world will be very much afraid of us (if not already afraid), and the people of Ukraine, most likely, will hate us fiercely for everything we have brought them to. US Democrats put money above all else, this is common knowledge, but did we, the Europeans, allow such that our leaders completely obeyed them and began to behave the same way? It's just a disaster! We urgently need to do something ... We need to run away from them, as far as possible, if we do not want to be complicit in all these lawlessness, although they, like the most fierce mafiosi, will not let anyone out of their networks so easily. Clear example is Ukraine. It's complete awful, who we got involved with and what we are doing...

@@panjulemo Well it took 7 coalitions to defeat him finally, after he made the mistake of invading Russia. Before his blunder in Russia and his eventual exile, he had defeated every major nation in Europe in battle and changed the course of European history forever. What really defeated him was the lack of a navy to contest the Royal Navy, and the strategic depth of Russia. He made the mistake of believing occupying Moscow would bring Russia to the peace table (it worked with every other nation he had defeated and occupied), but the Russian Tsar ignored his plea as the Russian army had been using scorched earth tactics and Napoleon had exhausted his supply lines. I get you were joking, but it's an interesting story never the less. What he achieved before his defeat has never been replicated.

Driving on the (raised) road would expose more of him to flanking shots whereas driving parallel to the road gives at least some cover - and explains why the field was mined.
The mine successfully took out one tank but had the minefield been part of a well-planned ambush (either by infantry with anti-tank missiles, prepared artillery/rockets or even remotely operated charges/mines) more of the russians could have been eliminated.

One of the compromises of main battle tanks is the thin armor on top and below the vehicles. Because of this top-attack warheads and anti-armor mines are particularly deadly to the tanks. I remember seeing a video from Syria several years ago where one of the Assad regime's T-72 tanks ran over this same kind of anti-armor mine and it killed all three of the crew members inside. This was a T-80BV but it has pretty much the same inconsequential amount of armor underneath, I would bet the crew of this tank didn't survive either.

Aww poor guy. To think that after a few days, his wife and children will wake up to receive news of their father’s death. It’s tragically reality that this happens on both sides, and hundreds of thousands are left with in empty seat in their house. We can all agree any war is a fool’s solution to issues.
