  • Personally recorded EAS #195. Ocean City's EAS equipment has been offline for several days now leading up to the system reboot as seen here. The entire process spanned across fifteen minutes and has been trimmed down in this upload to include the test sent immediately afterward. I'm incredibly confused as to why our area's DASDEC-II alert screen is so disfigured as of right now, hoping that'll be fixed after today.
[obligatory don't play these tones over airwaves or use them in any way that violates FCC law, in layman's terms, don't be a ding dong]

hmm, the DASDEC has 4 core processor then, because there are 4 tuxes on the bootscreen (you can see it for a second at 0:15)

Does your Xfinity headend still use the scroll on the top of the screen? Also I have a feeling they may get the new DASDEC III very soon

I believe so. Wasn't recording on our older boxes but I could hear them sound this test about 5 minutes later, which is how it has always activated scrolls / headers.
