As a solo, I built a similar base there back before the purge change. I think in the month or so I was there, only one person (that I know of) found/scouted it. Then the purge targeted it and I had to build it up so they didn't completely wreck it. Then I moved to a not-so-hidey-hole and got offlined after a couple of weeks. I had a dragon powder factory north of there on the border of Mounds that was pretty well blended/hidden. Don't think anyone ever found/scouted it, or they did, but knew it would be empty every night before raid. I like little hidey-holes and trying to find the pieces that best blend into the terrain. I like to see how long I can stay under the radar before needing to move.
It's best to build using the onion method. In layers. You make a small, simple square house, large enough to accommodate the most important things, and you enclose it with multiple layers. This greatly discourages other players from raiding.
