Personally I absolutely love this foundation. I own many “dewy” and “hydrating” foundations and this is my favorite. There’s something about it that sets it apart from the others. If you have dry skin I would highly recommend trying a sample and see if it works for you.
I know that a lot of you younger gals don't like fragrance but having been on the manufacturing side of skin care (albeit very briefly), keep in mind that some formulas just don't smell that nice without any fragrance. Like really not nice. Sometimes they add that small amount of fragrance to mask that. The amount can be minuscule but it might actually be necessary. Perricone has a few products they don't mask and they are infamous for the smell.
Oh, I am not against the smell, although I also don't personally mind if my products smell one way or the other. It's the fact that there can be up to 3,000 ingredients; some toxic that can be under the title "fragrance" in the list of ingredients by law. So my issue with fragrance is that it can be harmful to your skin and when it is products, you don't know all the ingredients you are putting on your skin.
@@mskjaer496 I had some Perricone products back in the day and could not use them because they really smelled like fish. The worst smelling products ever.
I have combo skin and I actually love this foundation. I use way less product than you did though because I prefer light coverage and I set it with powder. It really does seem to become one with my skin.
I love wearing this (applied with my fingers) as a primer/base with a light layer Lancome Teint Idole foundation (applied with a sponge) on top. Layering the two this way gives a medium coverage but still looks very skin-like. This combination has a beautiful finish and great staying power on my normal to slightly dry skin!
Actually I thought that this came off as the prettiest one so far. Maybe it has something to do with the shade. It really does look beautiful but I understand that we are not seeing it in person. Still my fav so far! xxoo
i love this and been using it for months now and have seen an a big change in my skin ..for the better! You might have used a little too much. A little bit goes a long way! This is the only foundation i've ever finished completely!
I thought you looked like a luminous model In the Lancome. Thank you for this video, I will run out and get myself some next time I am in the city. I personally prefer a light coverage. 😎
Wish I had seen this a month ago before the girl at Sephora sold me the porcelain shade. Not only is it too orange, I find it stays tacky and does not dry down at all. When I powder, it every wrinkle is magnified. I will stick with my Lorac Breakthrough Performance and consider this one a write-off.
Alas no but picked up some Clarins SOS primer to mix with it and of course can always pull out my winter chicken white foundation and mix some in. Trying Clinique Even Better Glow in Alabaster so we will see how that works.
Loved this Mandy! I hate when I can’t pinpoint why I don’t like something! You looked beautiful but I know what you mean! AND also at a certain point we’re buying more of the same. I feel that way with radiant primer type products!!! Happy Thursday Love!!😘😘😘
I love this skin tint and have been using it for 2 or 3 years. I’ve been searching for my shade and have had trouble finding it. Finally found it at Sephora and got it home and noticed that the expiration date on the tube crimping is six months past. Does anyone know if it’s still safe to use? I’m assuming it’s regarding the sunscreen protection but not sure.
It looks beautiful on your skin. I apply a much lighter amount of this foundation for a very natural skin like look. You may like applying with your fingers and find it easy to blend if you use about half as much as you used. It may look fake because you need a lighter hand. I have dry skin but don’t find it cakey at all. I don’t use a setting powder.
Hey Diane! I actually did try it with half as much as I used here and with my fingers before I finally gave up. LOL It just didn't work out for me. So glad you love it though!
Hey, Mandy. I got the FaceAtelier Foundation (#3) for my very Mature, very dry skin!! What Primer do you recommend I use with it, if any?? And, what method should I use to apply?? If a brush please tell me which one I should get! Thanks so very much. Enjoy! Hugs, Mary xoxo
Hey Mary! I personally like to not use a primer with Face Atelier because it has a built in primer, and find it works best on it's own. It works great with both a brush and a sponge. My fave brush is the dual ended foundation brush.
I think they are too. I went and checked to see if their ingredients were in the same order honestly. LOL They aren't, but I do think that companies under umbrellas definitely make very similar foundations to each other for sure.
@@MandyDavisMUA Checking for formula twin is a hobby of mine! I noticed that L'Oreal tweak formulas in each of their brands so it's hard to find exact duplicates. Lauder, on the other hand....
Thank you for sharing 🙂. Did you tried Pixi skin tint ? Its amazing !! Good ingrédients, affordable, natural finish, buildable, last long on the skin and cruelty free!! Simply fantastic 🤗
I do appreciate you doing this even tho I don't think you wanted too. I however do not enjoy fragrance or alcohol in my products. If just wondering your opinion on burts bees new foundations or 100% pures???
Thank you! I don't mind doing it so long as I can get them in samples so I can review them for y'all! I have tried the newer glow foundation from burt's bees but it was WAY too light so I don't think I could give it a fair chance. I have tried a couple of the 100% pure but not all of them....yet. LOL
Beauty blender “damp” is the only way that works for me. If you’re tired of foundations magnifying your pores, this is great for mature skin. Don’t powder over pores. Powder magnifies. Thanks.. just a person who bought.
On me the luminosity magnifies the pores, so if I don't powder, they become bigger. I tried it one more time after this with a sponge and it didn't work for me either. :( So glad you love it though!
hi, it is my favorite foundation ever! but sadly discontinued, ysl discontinued as well. Would you recommend anything near lancome skin feels good? it is perfect for me.. I tried many others Laura mercier Este Lauder, nothing gives this polished look as Lancome. help me girls with suggestions
@@MandyDavisMUA Yes I tried that, it is not like it unfortunately..thinking about NArs radiant tinted moisturizer maybe, but not sure. Lancome is melting into the skin and makes it as close as a perfection.
I heard so many good reviews on this foundation, so I bought it because I have dry skin. Unfortunately it did not work out for me, it felt tacky like it never set.
I have this in the same shade and love it. Mandy, do u think you'll review the new Oxygentix from Premier look? I called and am waiting for their samples to come in so i can try to match myself.
I’ve heard so many good reviews on this Foundation but lol I get it we do not need every foundation 😂 Have you ever tried the Cliniquefit Workout Foundation
if they would stop taking things off the market, we would not have to try new things. It does not hold a candle to lancome mineral cc cream, or lancome bienfait teinte or lancome absolue, but they are all gone. I have hoarded thee absolue if one wants to love one's image across the room. This is just a light tint that works for running errands.
Hi my beautiful Mandy, thanks for this review. You still look gorgeous but not the best foundation. Lol! For me, I've noticed as I age some feel a little on the dry side which I'm sure is normal. Also prefer a least a med coverage as I have a few sun spots due to back in the day going to the lake and tanning with no sunscreen. Bad choice! Lol! Yeah so coverage is one of my preference. Big Hugs! :)
I hate to be the brat but I don't know how fair it is that you're doing V Foundation videos and you haven't purchased not one of the foundations you're reviewing... I mean you're getting paid from us watching these videos and you're not putting any money into the products and I feel like you have a little bit of a chip on your shoulder about each and every one you talk about because you didn't purchase them
Wow! She stated if you watched the first video that she didn't purchase them because she prefers foundations with no alcohol and/or fragrance. I actually thought it was great that she did review them for some that are not interested in alcohol/fragrance as some of her viewers this is not an issue.
Would you have rather I purchased them, reviewed them for you and then returned them so the product could be wasted and thrown away? I am very confused by your comment. I actually LOVED the ysl one I tried yesterday so I am not sure what "chip" you are talking about on my shoulder. I didn't have to even get samples of these or bust my tail trying to get five videos out for y'all this week, but I did because the majority of my subscribers asked for reviews. Trust me, I purchase thousands of dollars worth of makeup to review on this channel, so I don't feel bad for reviewing samples. Sorry you are not happy with my content, but I hope you have a great day.

I am obsessed w/ this foundation, I bought two shades for winter and summer, my favorite way to apply is with my hands
