One thing I’m confused about: During the first game’s recorded broadcast of the LG Cup final at 6 hours and 17 minutes, and the 52nd move in the third game, Byun Sangil very clearly violated the rules. Why didn’t the referee intervene? Why was the referee so biased? Yet when the Korean referee entered the playing area, they immediately stopped Byun Sangil's clock, suspended the match, forcibly removed him from his seat, and made him make a phone call outside the venue(??????)Is it because failing to win the championship would damage the Korea Baduk Association’s reputation, or is it about prize money? Can any Korean explain this?
